Dbrn47 might not like the label, but if good portion of the posts in this thread in particular, keep saying the same thing and that same thing is essentially "FDev did no wrong" in varying degrees of words then I call it like I see it.
If DBrn47 didn't like being labelled a fanboi (and I can see from his sig he's not keen) maybe he shouldn't have picked up a stick and started dancing around FDev's fire.
Get over yourself, giving them a pass on something every developer does isn't walking their line or being a fan. It's called having a different perspective, understanding general game development and being reasonable about it. It would make no difference to me how they did it if the result was the same, which is Thargoids were being killed in droves so they changed something or anything to slow that down. I've played a lot of other games, too many in fact, things get changed if they are imbalanced and they aren't always fun to deal with as a player. Being that they are a story element, I imagine it had a high priority. You don't have to like it, but you need to accept it and move on, or just move on.
None of this means I'm magically enamored with the company and agree with everything they do. I've already done my parading around about things that have annoyed me about the game and how Frontier does things and I have a signature to let them know every time I post that I still don't like some things. All this means is I disagree with you and Susanna on your boycott and your premise for it. Some of the stuff they do is very acceptable, some is quite poor judgement and some is just middle ground whatever. Now I'm not going to argue with you about how I do or don't actually feel about the company anymore, if you want to continue that garbage, you can continue it with someone else that wants to entertain it.
