I am happy with Frontier's proposed ideas for the fleshing out and improvements in 'Beyond'. Now, don't get me wrong the proof is very much going to be in the pudding for me and it could decide whether or not I'm still a commander in 12-18 months time but I am hopeful.
For me Frontier didn't have much of a choice at this stage, the golden goose for developers is new customers and customer retention and for me Frontier has been failing on the latter to a greater or lesser degree. Whilst I'm sure retention isn't Frontier's only motivator with Beyond I'm fairly confident it plays a significant role. QOL and game improvements in terms of missions, profession's and visuals are what many have been crying out for, new content offers retention too of course but in Elite D's case the flesh on the bones is long overdue.
Can they deliver?, yes, will they?, who knows, their track record is, in my opinion, patchy, (excuse the pun), at best but for this commander at least the proposals of Beyond are enough to keep me around for a good while longer.
