The LEP includes beta access.. but I don't understand what point you're making here.
That's not quite what was being suggested (re-read Space Dandy's post s/he explicitly said "LEP should not equal "exclusive" content"). Rather, it was suggested that LEP holders would get pre-order content, as the LEP is effectively a pre-order for every expansion.

They quite clearly said that all content shown during the presentation will be free for Horizons owners.

How did they get that impression? I thought it was clear from the outset that Horizons was required for the "Beyond" updates.
This is simply not going to happen (from what I can see), so nothing to worry about here.
Edit: I presume it was Zac's comment that prompted this concern? He said "premium content" which does not necessarily mean "paid DLC", at least, not in the sense of any sort of major update. IMO, it likely means things like squadron mega ships (which are going to be something we have to purchase) and other similar "content" (like paintjobs, bobbles, etc but perhaps slightly larger).

The goal being this is : next year FD need to sell more Horizons DLC.
I discussed about this with the game director at FX2017 after the content reveal show.
With all due respect, parts of the player base are simply idiots. I think everyone should just stop caring about them being upset.
I use this thread as motivation for killing Cmdr's in Open.
Since we just had a thread full of people who were disappointed that there might be no paid updates in 2018, we will now get a thread with people being disappointed that there will be paid updates. You can't make this up.
Personally I asked for clarification to try and stop another mega moan thread happening if that was on the cards.
I really don't care myself if there is paid content in 2018 I will buy it as I like the game.

As good flamer I would want to point out that if mega ships will come for real money that might trigger some additional threads to this one.

Well that's weird. My post got deleted where I quoted Zac (I think) saying they had not even discussed beyone Beyond which I questioned and now my post is gone and his post mysteriously doesn't say that anymore....

LEPs apply to expansions - FD decide what constitutes an expansion and what doesn't. Indeed they say they will look after LEP owners - if the new content was expansions then there would no need for any looking after, players would automatically qualify.
Hence some clarification rather than snide comments would help.
(Lifetime probably applies to the game, not the player by the way)
