VR users is missing out what Screen users have

I'd love a Buttkicker, but Wife 1.0 is already installed.

LOL. Reminds me of when I was a the Honda dealer and the had one of those kickass Lazyboy chairs than vibrates and massages from head to toe for the customers to relax in while waiting for the bill, which after seeing makes you want to go back to the chair. I said to the service rep "what do you call this chair-the next wife?".

+1 for a toggle switch for the cockpit shake in VR.

Looking at videos from people who play on monitors I can clearly see the cockpit moving and shaking depending on acceleration, braking and impact forces in the game.

These are completely non-existant in VR.

Please add :)

If you want to vomit while gaming.

Yes. This makes the VR experience pretty boring for me.
Boost = ship is perfectly still.
Hyperspace = ship is perfectly still.
BORING!

That was my understanding of why FD forcefully disabled the camera shake. I don't really get nauseous in VR so I very much want the option to turn the camera shake ON.

again in which case get a buttkicker.. best of all worlds.. oh and i have found a reasonably priced uk supplier,

The problem with the shake is that it's screen instead cockpit shake. It's wrong. It disregards Millions of years of evolution building a visual system that compensates for local movement and stabilises distant features, like so many other "features" that try to make games look "cinematic" but just end up being visual designers misunderstanding how humans work. The way it's implemented, full-screen vibration is just a bug that should never have happened.

Just to necro a bit: I recently decided to switch back to 2D from VR - was doing Ceos/Sothis runs grinding fed rank (decided to give my face some air) and I was extremely annoyed by the cockpit shake.
Feels so artificial and actually took a while to get used to it and compensate for the movement when boosting through mailslots, for example.
