PvP Pity,AA cant handle their own Eravate

So does this thread need a timeout or can we keep all blows above the belt?

They just don't have enough good PvPers anymore to stand a chance against us.

Perhaps it's time for some defections, then. Spread the talent around, make things more interesting for everyone. :)

(I don't have a horse in this race, obviously).

Not really related to anything, but there is something that's been bothering me a while...

How does one pronounce "12.5th"?

Twelve-point fifth? Twelve-and-a-halfth? Something else?

To defend AA a bit, its much easier to be a murderer in this game than to be the good guy, there are so many loopholes, its pretty much impossible to defend an entire system properly. I mean all you need to do is murder few winders in Eravate, ram some others near the station, post videos and it will be sort of a victory while making the defenders look bad.

True, you forgot to mention the quintessential way to undermine the BGS, just use solo and nobody will stop you :)

This is a screenshot from the Nomads discord of BreakfastMelon discussing the issues they're having, but that's only the public side of it. We have spies everywhere, and AA is having legitimate infighting about the future of the PvP side of the group. Bazinga has effectively left AA, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see more members leaving within the next week or so.

I predict that very soon, AA will not be able to field a full wing of competent PvPers at CGs or Eravate.

Ok, what about the 2 weeks part of the statement?

Dude, do you think I don't have friends in AA that tell me what's going on? Think about this: you just may not be invited to the conversations that are being had.

To expose AA for what they are: pretend PvPers.

You guys have some strange friendships

Therein lies also a bit of AAs problem imho. They are having an identity crisis. The most experienced PvPers are getting bored, so they hang with the other side, and aren't above taking out another commander for the heck of it (by their own admission btw). That leaves a gap between what AA says they're about, and what they (the most experienced PvPers) actually do. Any group that has this discrepancy in their membership would suffer from it.

So maybe this is a good opportunity for AA to clean house and rebuild? It would certainly be nice to see a strong group like AA become a factor (again).

Hmm, that vid kinda highlights what is wrong with PvP currently: an 11 minute slog which could almost be a 15sec gif on repeat with depleting shields on the target, and eventually a death following a collision that only happened because it appears both sides had a gentlemen's agreement to fight til death. Nevertheless, extremely impressive FA off fixed fighting!

Part of the trouble is we have to come up with excuses to fight. There’s nothing to protect or capture or kill. There’s no enemy territory. There’s no large scale goals or fleet actions (or small ones either). There’s no stations need protecting or convoys (or attacking). Essentially the gameplay is there to be had but FD won’t provide it so instead, pvpers have to make their own reasons for pvp. The result is builds are varied or meta for fun and curiosity and often because pvp groups practice and fight together to test skills and theories and then make vids and share stories. These conflicts are made up because FD won’t provide better avenues for it.
