Sure are people like that, there is a word for it Schadenfreude. Also people like myself who have a complete lack of empathy usually enjoy others suffering to an extent, there is a word for whats different about us but it has really dark associations so I dont use it often.
On topic mobius sounds like the best fit for the op, as long as he ignores the sign up . This game at least in open where I play is a mixed bag when having social interactions but definitely shouldn't be used to try and conquer social demons.
Suffering is only fun when its a challenge in creating it...its not even remotely challenging in a computer game as its childishly simple getting into someones head enough to trigger a temper flash in them.
If ye change the parameters a little so they end up believing its their fault in the first place and were never aware of someone pulling their strings, then thats closely related to all out narcisism which also hints at that lack of empathy. Its a little different in that one feels no guilt whatsoever and only garners enjoyment when one creates strong negative emotional responses in those around you.
Like farting in a packed lift and blaming the guy standing next to ye while ye hit the emergency stop discreetly so the aroma can be full appreciated while ye stand there trying to keep a straight face and watching chaos unfold.
Elite doesnt cater to that mindset...eve did though...ah the good old days. I play elite as a single player game so one is always on best behaviour as a default setting...safer fer everyone, including me in the long run ^
