[1] DUEL ECONOMIES NOT BEING RECORDED CORRECTLY

This problem has happened before. With registered markets when TCE updates it changes the duel economy to a single economy. Although it's fine when registering unregistered stations with duel economies. I was swapping between game modes trying to get specific mission types when I noticed this.

Because the economy of a station is reported at the journal, I hoped that Frontier is capable to add dual economies too. Sadly, the data is not available actually.
BTW, did anyone notice, that a dual economy station changed to a single, or ever a station changed his economy overall? I thought of Colony types, that changes to a different type in the end.
If not, I can prevent economy changes to dual economies stations exclusively. Or how we proceed?
 
Thanks for that - will give it a try although atm as soon as I get out of the station the message comes up 'Eagle in the nest' and then shazzam - six rebuys so far today - good job it is only a sidewinder. Thanks also to the others that responded.

there a diverse tactics to avoid scanning. after taking off, take a close look at your radar. position yourself inline with the toast rack infront of you. make sure nothing's coming in on your lane. watch the patrol ships outside. when they are just around the corner, engage silent running and boost the heck outta there, in a straight line til you're a comfy distance outta the no fire zone, then jump to wherever you want to.
takes a bit practice, but you can believe me, you only get scanned if you allow it. it's relatively easy to avoid, even in bigger ships.
 
Hi Eventure. This looks good and I think a lot of players will like having a UI that better reflects the style of the game HUD. Though I'm quite fond of the current look, so I hope there might be an option for say the "Classic interface" style, if it's not too much extra trouble to maintain both.

By-the-way, I use the icons instead of text, as I really like the icons. However, I wonder if it might be possible to add an option which would have the icons disappear after a short while and then when you move the mouse they reappear (for those of us who us a HOTAS and only use the mouse to click things). While flying around and doing other activities I like to have as clean and clear a view as possible and prefer to only see those things which are providing me information. The icons and position aren't overly obtrusive so I can live with having them always around, though if it's not overly complicated to implement, it would be nice if this were an option.

P.S. Perhaps it could be a key press for those who use Keyboard and Mouse to play, instead of mouse movement. I know you can use F1 to entirely hide the UI, but a key that would show/hide just the icons (panel buttons) and keep the information bearing parts might be liked by TCE users as well.

You could set a shortcut for showing/hiding TCE. Or would you like to just have disappear certain things? E.G. leave the actual position display on top?

I've been using (and a supporting)TCE for a while. But I will admit that I only use certain aspects of it. Today while reading some posts here I discovered the Faction Panel -- I feel so stupid for not paying attention when this was added. However I know it now and am very pleased.

With regards to dual economies. I have noticed that a dual economy will change to a single when revisiting an already registered market. Seems to happen when docking.
Also when a market has no commodities, both economies set to none, one of the none economies will be changed to an economy.
Was happening before EDMC stopped working and started again when EDMC started again.
I haven't been checking this week, just couldn't be bothered to modify the markets back to what they should be.

I know, TCE doing it, because the journal reporting only one economy for a station. But my question referrring to the ingame mechanics, if anyone recognized, that a dual economy changed to a single type in ED.

This only happens (for me) when I'm at a station that's already been registered and had duel economies. When registering a new station with duel economies it records them fine, but when you log out and back in again TCE then updates it to one economy.

I know that, as I said before. I want to know, beside TCE, if in the ED space, stations changes his economy from dual to single?

I've known stations change economies, but that's been from Colony to something. Which I think you already know?

I've not read anything on the BGS that would suggest that happens either. But my knowledge of the BGS is mediocre to OK.

No, I didn't know that, thanks.

So from my point of view, I suggest to leave the system as it is, because it is only a display issue, which Frontier is resposible for. When Frontier adds dual ecos to the journal, it will fix itself.

Further to this my old brain has been going over and wondering.

I keep track of a faction and have used an online system (supported by another faction, but it started to fail) and spreadsheets to record this information. This can be a slow process. I don't mind collecting the data and this will be a lot easier with the Faction panel. What I would like to do would be able to export that so I can share our Faction state with the rest of the members. Do you know if that is allowed? Or would I be breaking the rules to do that? If it is allowed then has anyone a method of doing it.

My thoughts are along the lines of: export data in CSV format and then add to an existing overall historic spreadsheet. Well, something like that :) Has anyone tried or have a method for this?

bug report for TCE mkII

Hi I currently get an error when I kill a ship- the bounty is not correctly processed and cause TCE to stop and throw an error message which I tried to get a screenshot of but failed.
I will try again next time I get it.

Click the DETAILS button at the error message and copy the content into a bug report. Attach the ErrorReportFiles.7z from the root folder of TCE and send it to me.

The Hangar upgrade is now in here, TCE will get an internal player ship register, so it will be possible to assign own pictures to every ship, regardless of type. Also the ship name will be displayed.
But it is necessary to sit once in a ship, so TCE can recognize the shipID and name for it. Also it will be only possible to take a picture for the actual used ship.

Sadly TCE can't estimate the distance flown for the past for each ship, it can only estimate the total distance. So the counter will start from zero for each ship.

Viper/Cobra ship info - EDMC problem?

For sometime now I have noticed that either EDMC or TCE is not importing the ship data for the Viper Mk III & Mk IV and also the Cobra Mk III & Mk IV. I am therefore having to manually adjust it each time I dock at a port with any of these four ships.

Can some kind soul point me in the direction of where the EDMC ship data is stored on my PC so that I can check to see where the ommission lies?

When used through TCE, you will find it at the EDMC_Data folder at your TCE installation.

I'm encountering a strange issue with the Navigation Panel.

When I click Navigation, and then click Market Places, the number of stations listed is literally random from one click to the next. When I first open the panel, it might list 10 stations. If click the exact same "Market Places" tab, it might now list 19 stations. Click once more, and now there are 18.

It's very strange and I can't figure out what is causing it. Has anyone else encountered this?? I've tried changing the Jump Range number to very high values so as to list all the stations I have entered into the database (which happens to be 19 btw, and they're all within 50 lys of each other), but this doesn't change the odd behavior that I've described. "Refreshing" the page by re-clicking the tab and nothing else gives me a different number of listed stations everytime.
