Yeah; that would work really well but unfortunately it seems trolling and whinging around here is more important than actually playing the game. Incredible isn't it that people still play a game that they don't enjoy.

The only comparison I can think of is a child who keeps putting their hand into a flame despite the fact they know it burns them.... which is pretty much beyond sad really.

People who inflict pain on themselves (and then extend that by expressing their pain on these forums and creating pain for others) probably should seek some form of counseling or other professional help well away from these forums.

If you don't see a difference between 'putting hand into a flame' and 'not enjoying some aspects of a game' then you should seek some form of counselling.

I'm happy that it's there, that FD have gone to the effort of putting it there - but to be honest, pew pew against aliens isn't what I play this game for. I've never seen a Thargoid, have visited the crashed ship site just the once, and am quite happy exploring on the other side of the galaxy for now.

I care very little. Never have in Elite. While I certainly enjoy stroy-driven games (playing Witcher 3 atm), Elite isn't really a good narrator for me.

Exactly. And to be fair, I'm one of those people that has a lot of criticisms about the game. And I have stopped playing it, since about four days after 2.4 released. I want to enjoy playing Elite, but Frontier seem hell-bent on developing it as lazily as possible.
