Hooooooooo boy!

I normally don't do cinemas because Reasons, but this is a must.

No doubt I am old and jaded, but these super hero movies seem to constantly repeat themselves over and over and over.
I love the special fx and those are the only reason I sometimes watch cliche super hero/villain movies like these.

I just don't believe these bad guys anymore who always want to conquer this specific planet or rule the universe blah blah blah.
It is such incredible nonsense.

I wonder how powerful Thanos will be in the movie..

In the comic, when the earth heroes confronted him..
They where absurdly crushed (Thanos didn't believe in funny clothed people)..
Then Cosmic Beings of the universe also confronted him and..
They where crushed too.. (Thanos didn't believe in cosmic forces)..
Then The Universe itself confronted him and..
Was utterly defeated.. (Thanos didn't believe in universal powers..)

It is indeed.

Long may it continue :)

Oh, I wouldn't want it to stop.
It's only that... I would love to see a slightly more original plot perhaps (something I haven't seen a thousand times before) or something I could actually believe.
I just can't see the attraction of wanting to rule the universe, the planet, or stuff like that... Who in their right mind would want something so stupid....

On this we can agree. At the risk of being a wet blanket to the current conversation I feel that the obsession with these types of movies which lack in all departments except CG have more or less ruined creativity in Hollywood. I seldom even care to watch movies anymore, instead focusing on foreign programs with subtitles where writing, pacing, and acting are still valued.

Hate to burst your bubble, but creativity in Hollywood died decades ago.

I wasn't going to put a specific date to my assertion, but yeah, basically this. Emphasis on dumbed down everything and massive increase on the visual spectacle. Kind of the same thing in the gaming industry, too. Lighten the actual systems and content, increase the "oh wow!" visual factor. Interestingly, I thought Blade Runner 2049 did a fantastic job of delivering on both fronts, yet tanked at the box office because no super heroes...

Another one? None of these mass produced comic book movies have any personality to them anymore. I absolutely wouldn't tell a difference between any of them given a short scene. Samey characters, identical stories with different wallpapers.
There were few really great ones, and the rest are just trying too hard...It doesn't work that way. Blade was good because it was fresh and different. Dark Knight was good because it was fresh and different. Hell, Kick was good because it was a different take on superhero theme.
However, it's the consumer who is to blame as well. If people would stop wasting their money on these silly copy paste movies they would stop making them, and start thinking creatively again.

Try 'Sparks'.
