If the ship is not optimised for trading then it is compromised, e.g. by increasing survivability beyond that required against NPCs.
All that is required is one shield ( and boosters), I demonstrated in the vid.
Again, where is the compromise?

I still didnt hear what do you compromise when trading?
I see the problem being that the more they do to split up the game into separate servers, the more sparse the player base will be. Best to stick to one server and think of alternate solutions for pvp.

That's just nonsense, man. I like I said, equipping a T-7 for defense only loses you 48 tons of cargo space. Small price to pay for being able to survive just about anything.

Range, fuel use, power consumption, etc..
48t is a significant chunk of the available cargo space.
What compromise is the attacker making?
.... does the attacking ship even have a cargo rack?
And if you're using a FDL, what are you sacrificing for being able to defend yourself and project massive damage at the same time?

Perhaps some people are trying to avoid adrenaline rushes.Alternative to Step 2: Click 'Open' and fly smart? Iron Mouse!
I've tried solo/private and - ultimately - no matter the pro's and cons, the adrenalin just isn't the same.
Men's men play on ten and women's women, deep end swimmin'?
ps. I don't care what mode people play but open is very survivable, even on a below spec rig.

Range? Maybe a light year or 2, very minor
If it's so 'minor' why do you have a 0.5 ly jump range death boat?
Go ahead, Robert. You've got this LOL
It's like talking to a brick wall... they really don't "get it".
Because I dont need it at all. Could have been 0.0 if I cared.
You have no understanding in the game mechanics.
Range, fuel, power consumption, cargo space...
No, he likely compromised his cargo capacity for defensive modules.
Its minor if nonexistent
power? What do you need the extra power for?
Fuel? It wont be affected by engineering a shield

What am I supposed to do with s cargo rack?

It's common to swap out FSDs when you don't need the extended range.
If I know I am going to be engaging CMDRs in a system, I often will move to that system and swap out an engineered A FSD for a stock D fsd. I'll do the same with my fuel tank, i.e. drop it down to the smallest practical size. The reduced weight gives you a little speed boost, and the reduced power means you can run more power-hungry modules.
