Maybe Chris' vision is for a space FPS game. Imagine that? Nobody has ever done space FPS apart from Doom, Quake and the not very good bits in Half Life, Halo and all those Star Wars games, Tribes, Planetside, Borderlands, That bit in Portal 2 when you went to the moon, Metroid prime and that Call of Duty game that wasn't very well received but seems to be the very lowest acceptable benchmark for SQ42 to meet even though they seem to have unlimited funds and time anyway.
Easy way out for backers -
"Due to your new TOS which I can't accept, I can no longer play the game that I bought. Please issue refund forthwith".
Argue that in court
*edit - wording.
So many people saying that SC is not a space sim, and that they hate the ship combat and that is not what they want to do in SC.
+ I didn't back the possibility that you will make ToS unacceptable one day, therefore I need to be refunded+compensated for my time loss and disappointment.
+1
I forgot about the compensation angle - nice one![]()
Anyone tested the 3.0 crap ?
Part of me wants to disassemble and step through the "netcode", parse the logs at stack and router level and put it up for public ridicule, thus irreparably damaging the "Company" by demonstrating how masterful their internetwork engineers are.
I won't actually do it of course, because Genuine Roberts still owes me two games
I better get them![]()
Where did you come across the source code?
What source code is possibly needed to monitor the stack, routing table and pushed ports to layer 2?
Dude, do you even network?
Can you explain to me, in detail, what you mean by "monitor the stack"? Do you mean monitoring your own network performance while in-game?
I could - but it'll cost you money.
Sign up for a class at your local college and learn networking.
I'm sure CIG is very concerned about you releasing your router's logs!
