The same argument that was given in the other thread applies to this one. We haven't even got Beyond yet, so it has neither won nor failed. Hate to point it out, but both threads are essentially pointless. Probably why I've spent far too much time in the other one.
Pointless threads are the most fun because they mean the least.

At last- a thread that doesn't blame FD for everything from post millennium nihilism to the death of Kennedy!I'm really looking forward to the new season. Biegification aside, I've enjoyed pretty much everything so far. No guarantee it'll be good, but previous performance is usually a decent indicator of future efforts. Going on what they've done before, I'm quietly confident that the coming year is going to be a good 'un.

I love this game. Is there anything about the game that I'd change if I could? Of course there is, but that doesn't stop my enjoying the game anyway. I was an early backer and I just bought a second account. Nuff said?

Same, then I check the hyperbole they're spewing out and it turns out they've usually been singing the same song for years about how this game would die. Here we are years later, still not dead.
It may not be "everything to everybody" but it's "something to somebody"
Positive threads usually find themselves at the bottom of the General Discussion pile because the trolling whiners are constantly busy bumping their own threads with the same self-reinforcing negativity.
I really can't wait till "that other game" finally has its first beta release at least, so they can ditch instead of bi.... [bleep]

I'm giving Kaocraft the point regardless, mostly because "trolling with optimism" was amusing and apt.
Personally, I've seen no reason to get too crazy showering Fdev with accolades for Beyond quite yet. Perhaps they'll deserve them when all is said and done.

It looks like a win so far to me. Folks are excited with new changes coming. ( Even some of those formerly slightly critical of the dev progress and "wrong decisions" are now noticeably expressing hope in their posts.) Beta is coming soon so it looks like FDev is well underway on its schedule. Their teasers are fun and usually lead to real implemented things. Thanks for the thread OP, I know what you mean. We needed this oppositely titled thread, counter to the "epic fail" one.
