Robigo in it's heyday was brilliant.
With hindsight it was the best of the high earners so far. At least it had a failure state

I'm with a few others here... We were told that it was NOT, repeat NOT an exploit before. FDEV stated it really wasn't what they had intended but it was not an exploit... Now it is?!?!?! Make up your minds and stick to something...
First of all I really don't care what anyone else does in this game, ya know why? Because I NEVER see them, ever... I'm just like 90% of the rest of the player base as in I play in Solo or private groups. I played in open the other night while engineering the Type 10, running around, chased after a couple Thargoids. Do you know how many people I saw all night (I'd guess 5-6 hours)? One, I saw one person in open...
What I really want to know is why FDev actually even listens to the few people on the forums anyway while everyone is playing... It's always and I mean always the same people on here ing about something that others are doing that they never see in game anyway... lol... However, congratz to those who were squeaky enough to get something done. I checked and a mission going 1.7million LS from jump in now pays a huge 200k credits. Do you feel better now that you can make more money flying 2 1/2 minutes for some data playing your way???

*sniff*
All good/ bad things comes to an end. It was unbalanced. Now people will not feel other activities are worthless as far as credits are concerned.
We were told previously that it wasn't an exploit and that Frontier would not be changing it?!?!
So yet again Frontier do something that they say they were not going to. We obviously can't trust a word you guys say!![]()
so
10 Tourists to Smeaton (40 mins)= 38k
20 rebels to Upsilon (5 mins) = 811k
Risk = same for both
Guessing this one wasn't thought out all that well.
They never said that it is not an exploit. People just assumed that.
About time - how many billions were earnt using this? Will they be taken back so next time such an issue arises CMDRs have a motivation to report rather than hammer the hell out of it for as long as possible until you act?
I'm not bothered how much wealth anyone has, I'm bothered about people cheating and not playing on a level field.
Just out of curiosity when will you be happy with how other people play Elite? Do you have a figure on how much credits we can have or earn per day?
I don't have the time to teach you stuff you should have learnt when you were much younger - ask your mum or dad. Tell them you got all stroppy at someone because they wanted you not to cheat but to play on a level playing field with everyone else.
<snip>
Then I'm amused at their tantrums when they're asked to play fair because well... how could I not be? That's funny stuff.
BTW its across the board on the long distance bulk hauls - I checked a second area i used for similar, though less lucractive missions - 500,000LS+ station. 374000 for 10 tourists.
they have just nerfed the long distance ones, back to pre-formula levels. I don't know what constitutes long distance, perhaps 250k LS +?

They did say that, "working as intended" was the phrase they used as I remember the post, lets try it dig out though hopefully someone else can beat me to it.
Feels like Frontier used a sledge hammer for a carpenter hammer job...
I'll let other forum users decide who's language here most represents tantrum.
I admit the payouts were too high, but why not simply reduce them instead of killing it entirely?

Hello commanders,
As some of you are aware, Passenger Bulk missions are currently generating extremely high credit rewards that we feel are excessive of what we would consider reasonable and balanced.
After a detailed investigation, we can confirm that this is due to an element in our mission generation algorithm that rewards credits based on the distance of the destination system from the star.
Due to this, we will be disabling (until further notice) the aforementioned element of Passenger Bulk missions to reduce the amount of credits offered as a reward. Commanders will still be able to select and complete Passenger Bulk missions, but will see less excessive credit rewards.
In the meantime, we will be reviewing the Passenger Bulk missions and correct the previously mentioned element – hopefully in time for you to test in the Beyond Chapter One beta.
Thanks to all the players who reported the issue.
