Release EDDiscovery 18.X is now out! New modules panel upgrade and Engineering

Are you running latest (9.0.3)?

Have you submitted data to EDSM using the EDMC plug in at any point recently? (Once a user submits flight logs with the Journal API via EDMC they can no longer use the flight log API which EDD will rely on for a little while longer)

There is a Synchronise with EDSM button in the ribbon which should send any unsynced flight logs - have you tried that?

Yes 9.0.3, completely new install, I let it download everything and update for a while before entering my api keys and such.

EDMC, that's market connector? Never used it. I did set up EDDI with my EDSM api key but that was only after I was done with EDDiscovery. I think perhaps EDDI actually submitted the few new jumps I did to test and EDDiscovery just won't send any new entries since july 24, 2017. Because it also didn't send everything to EGO (which I hadn't used before so that was with a new api key/account), EDDiscovery sent everything up to that exact same date but nothing else after that. Which is why I think something may be wrong with the logs.

I found the synchronise with EDSM button, that seems to be running for a while now. It's not as verbose as the EGO sending log but so far it's given me two errors with this: "EDSM sync error submitting system (Training):304: System is a training mission". Which is odd, pretty sure I didn't do any training missions. I'm going to leave it running for a while, no idea if it's complete done or not.

EDIT: So after leaving it running for a few hours, it seems to have fully updated my flight log on EDSM now. No idea why it didn't update before but the EDSM issue is resolved now. EGO however still only shows discoveries till july 24th 2017, but maybe their "discoveries by date" only displays your new discovered systems? Perhaps I don't have any new 'first to find'-discoveries after that date which is possible.

I think someone mentioned that selecting stars in the 3D Map doesn't work anymore. Unless there's some option that I've accidentally turned off?

If you retry the Admin\Send Unsynced EGO Scans menu option does that make a difference/write anything to the log?

It doesn't write anything to the log when I do that. But maybe it's only sending 'first to discover' scans to EGO? It's entirely possible I didn't get any new discoveries since then because I haven't left the bubble and maia/thargoid region for some time (and couldn't play a lot anyway on my old PC until now).

Happy to hear. It was a huge help to use the 3D map and manually plot when I went to Arm's End. Now, going to Manifest Destiny, I can manage without it, but wish I had it. :)

You can put 9.0.2 back if it worked then. I did, because I need the list of nearest stars discovered by others.

I'm tempted. But it's good for me to practice hand-plotting the route in the galaxy map though. I take it as a challenge rather than a problem. :D

I'm on my way to western meridian (I think it's called), and I have all the jumponium I need, and have a plot for premium boosts, but the hand-plotting (and in EDD 3DMap) is to find smarter paths and avoid using so much premium. I'll do anything to use basic or standard only because Niobium is so rare. And with the upcoming change to material storage, it's even more important to save it.

Make sure you tell about it on forums. Sandy said more than once that this number can change. Not many pilots know why one would need 200 nobium, I for example was surprized :)

Now, I saw something else that could be a slight issue. Apparently the distribution and composition of planets might change, at least it looks like it in beta. I hope the data in EDSM isn't outdated by the update... [mad]

If you are looking at the beta map...the map is similar but very different in details to the live map...these issues will not transfer into the live map.

My home system has a bunch of stubby starports...rather than the full Ocellus...this is just the way the map generates...it is not an exact copy of the live map.

Ok. Good. *phew* Started to get a sweaty hands a little.

Is there a way to filter star types in EDD? For instance in 3d map and/or in the other windows, like searching for closest known neutron star.
