I think it was a ridiculous decision to lock out the later players...not because these exclusive incentives are unfair, but because Frontier are spineless when it comes to potentially upsetting the ED player-base (demonstrated numerous times); ergo, the Cobra IV was
always going to be an uncompetitive, crap ship - which is a travesty given the iconic nature of its predecessor.
I was so looking forward to flying & owning this ship when I pre-ordered - Oooooh imagine? A newer, better cobra? Wow!!! The subsequent anti-climax & straight-up annoyance was almost palpable for me!
Frontier should release it to everyone asap & they could appease the
selfish gits players who want them to honour their exclusivity promise by buffing it significantly (
at least make it the fastest non-ept ship) to make it a worthy successor to the mk3.
Frontier decision-maker 1: Yes, that's decided then, let's release the hounds Cobra IV! Definitely!
Frontier decision-maker 2: Wait a minute! Oooh I'm not so sure...some people won't like this!
Frontier decision-maker 3: 'Good point - remember the overpriced Vulture, 2.1 AI, low mission payouts, high repair costs, the proposed shield nerf....?
Frontier decision-maker 1: .....Okay, okay! They'll go g monkey poo! Leave it as is...it's safer.
Does my contempt show at all? [big grin]
