I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Bohemia. Today it's just Czech Republic. Czechia and Slovakia parted ways after the Iron Curtain fell.
My ignorance is laid bare.

Anyone here had much success spiking food pots with sleeping potions/poisons?
So is that prononced CHes-law in English roots?
Pretty much![]()
Or "Ches-wav", as Ł = W and W = V in pronounciation. Yeah, it's a difficult language![]()
Easy-peasy.
Try to make people pronounce "Přibyslav"
Or take that composer of the Witcher muzak I tried to make you listen to. Such a nice long Polish name, it'll make people despair. Wossname? Przybyłowicz? It's got that nice "prsh" in, too.

Still better than Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz who lived in Szczebrzeszyn
(That's actually a gag from a Polish comedy "How I started 3rd world war", where this German guard asks for personal details of a Polish POW and he gives him that (fake) name and city on purpose).
Anyway! Back on topic - I have a weird problem with this game, where it cancels out my screen calibration settings and everytime I finish playing it, I need to log out and back in again to bring back the correct brightness, gamma and contrast of my screen.
It also interferes with the OBS recording software, where it seems like the input from the game is as per the un-calibrated settings, but the output still takes them into account, which means the movies I record are very poor quality. nV's Shadowplay doesn't have that issue. Weird! I wanted to make a Let's Play series of KCD and I recorded 3 hours of gameplay only to find out the quality sucks, so I need to start anew now...

Do you have it from the start or just since the last patch?
Can't remember the game version I'm on, but I don't think there was any update since I've installed it, so I'm pretty sure it's definitely in the latest version. Dunno about the previous versions.
There was a patch on Monday, I think, and I haven't played since, so I was interested if it's something new. I never heard of this problem, nor experienced it. Have you checked the nVidia Experience? Maybe it's interfering if you have it set for auto optimization. Maybe it would be worth trying to roll back to previous driver version, too.
Just ideas, though.
Actually, it's Czechia - they've changed the English name officially last year I think. Nobody really noticed either
I'm looking forward to playing this game. I visited Czech Rep... Czechia a lot in my youth! I lived in Poland only 30 km from Czech border. They've had very cheap beer! It often made more sense to chip in for petrol, go to Czechia, get a few crates of beer and drive back to Poland. Still cheaper than buying the same amount in a Polish shop (which was cheap anyway, compared to other European countries!).
Also, I always wondered how come that foreigners have no problem pronouncing "CZ" as "CH" in Czechia, but when they see a Polish name with the same letters (Czesław for example) they all go "Eh?"![]()
