To be honest, until you and the others mentioned HCS I hadn't a clue on what Alien was talking about. I still don't for the other stuff he is accusing FDev about.

I totally approve of this. Charging for them will encourage more of them to be developed. The more the better. I love the idea of each of my ships having a distinct personality.

Whilst this is good to see, I'd rather we had voices for all the NPC chatter in game.

They are working with HCS on this, no need for alarm
I wish they'll release an IVONA Amy voice pack : they use it for Galnet Audio and I use it through HCS VP ASTRA : I would have the same voice for every interaction with the ship.
I will refuse to buy an Obsidian Ant version though... I'll just phone him up and insist he does it live

I know FD is using the store as their main source of revenue for the game, so the more of this the better. All still cosmetic and entirely optional.
I'm sure I'll be buying one or two of these. Just not sure I like Celeste yet. Going to wait a bit and see what others come available.

Celeste's voice causes me to experience physical pleasure.
The only drawback, and it is a huge one for me, and any of us who spend a lot of time away from star bases and ports...can't change it on the fly. Tis a shame.
A COVAS with a French accent? I think I'll buy that just to complement the jolly Belgian traffic controllers of STARCON, and further cement my headcanon that the Alliance is the European Union in Space.

Could be becaouse i am very much against a payed for game doing what f2p games do.
Warframe and PAth of exile etc..
Cosmetics are also dlc that adds to my gameplay. So putting them behind a paywall is to me just as bad as paywalling a ship.
And the backers? Mehh.
The voice part was added to the patch content list, would this not meen that it should then also be part of that content? Not paywalled as dlc.
So why not add the new planet textures there as well?
