Thank you! And I just did a mission to kill 6 skimmers - and found them all at the target location in one go :)

How did you know they were the mission targets? Was that displayed as in 2.4? For me there's no information on skimmers anymore (no clean / wanted / faction / mission target)
 
How long should it take the update to install on Xbox One X? My console finished downloading the update last night, and the game is running. All of the Start Play options are locked out with "80%" next to them and an info message "installation in progress". It's been like this for nearly 24 hours.
Apologies if this is a stupid question but I am fairly new to XBox One.
 
Hi all,new here on forum but playing since early beta. Just one point for update. The game actively discourages single players/PvE players since Multicrew has been around. I think Im not alone here who does not have 3 human players at hand whenever I have time to play. To run my ship with crew or to do wing missions. The lack of AI crewmen/wingmen is why I barely play the game nowdays.

Trust me, so far you have not missed anything, if you don´t play in a group of other pilots.

All multicrew gives you in your ship so far is one bored guy giving you one point more to Sys/Eng/Weapons, but then again while shooting the target missing MUCH more than turreted weapons...

If your actions are now conserning mostly PvE/NPC/BGS/AI/SOLO-stuff (against a group of experienced human pilots I doubt you would have any chance anyways alone), then nothing really has changed, they are just as easy solo as with a buddy if you pick your arena right (like, don´t go trying alone to flip influence of a system that has billions of people and is in Federation, just won´t happen).

Spent 3 hours doing a wing mission with friends, didn't get the reward and did more than my fair share of the cargo hauling. It said to pick up the reward at the station(that I was already DOCKED to because I'm the one that turned in the last shipment) and I checked the mission board and my transactions page(mission completely disappeared, we were all still in wing), nothing. Re docked. Nothing. Hours worth of time wasted. Thanks for ruining the game.

tip: Every major release of ED has a ton of bugs. Wait a week or two for it to get fixed. (Or wait 9 10.5 months, as in my case...)

Apologies if this is a stupid question but I am fairly new to XBox One.

Would check connection to make sure it is working, and close the launcher and then open it again (that is how launcher works and continues downloading update after closing launcher, on PC anyways).

Well my dual core - 4 gig RAM, R2 GPU £100 laptop Commander - is still alive!!!

So I've got no complaints.

Been out in SRV today, planets looking so more interesting. Surface (meteorite) Materials seem to require turret gun to break .. hopefully other people will test too (from my SRV chair I couldn't bust them). Celeste COVAS sounds (to my limited experience so far) a little on the quiet side but adds a ton of character. As does the station using vehicle reg number on greeting. That for me is a really nice touch and I've even used Galnet (audio) for the first time in forever. The game feels significantly more detailed. Excellent job FDevs.

I was delightfully surprised by the silent buff of collector limpet (I didn't see this anywhere in patch notes). I mined a little bit in an improved T7 with 8 active collectors (though not as powerful as I drive in beta), and carried a 1A to a nav beacon in iCourier to collect data and material. None of them was collided to death, and I was surprised to find that it can keep up with my supersonic iCourier wherever I go. (although sometimes I can see it teleport in front of me, maybe make it teleport to where pilot can't see?)

It helped a lot when collecting all these floating materials dropped by pirates, and it only died once by exceeding range when my iCourier boost to 600+ m/s from standing still within 2 seconds. Most of them can now live up to their max lifespan and perform their task with optimal effectiveness. Very delightful to see that:)

One small thing though, I have to avoid sending out any limpets when I'm targeting anything they can carry to avoid one-time direct collection. They will just fall into oblivion after retrieving the target. I was expecting them to come back to cargo bay though. They are already at the door, why wouldn't they come in?

Anyway, nice work on 3.0, FD. Indeed some nice QoL changes here and there. I was writing about some suggestions about powerplay, but I think it'll take a bit longer cause there's much things to do right now;)
 
I want to hunt down the FD employee responsible for the nearly instant loading times of the galmap and sysmap and hug the Betelgeuse out of them!! :D

I just have one concern: Are the ramming cops fixed? i'ts too annoy get damage/fines every time one cop try to can you while your silent running are turned ON.
If you are transpoting passengers some of them will cancel the mission because of the hull damage/crimes commited;

somebody knows how long the scheduled maintainance today goes? i can not find on the homepage and in the forum any information about that downtime.

At 7:40 gmt i was doing a mission... the game notificated me at 7:30gmt that at 8:00gmt the servers goes down. The connection to the Server disconnected some minutes later after the notification at 07:40gmt and not at 8 :( i couldnt finsh the mission
What happens now to my missions amd missions time?

In your case... (like a good few others I imagine) Raise a Ticket, I have no doubt that if events occurred as you say and the downtime started before indicated then you'll be set straight.

It might have been simple office miscommunication or an even simpler matter of 'oops'
