I was delightfully surprised by the silent buff of collector limpet (I didn't see this anywhere in patch notes). I mined a little bit in an improved T7 with 8 active collectors (though not as powerful as I drive in beta), and carried a 1A to a nav beacon in iCourier to collect data and material. None of them was collided to death, and I was surprised to find that it can keep up with my supersonic iCourier wherever I go. (although sometimes I can see it teleport in front of me, maybe make it teleport to where pilot can't see?)
It helped a lot when collecting all these floating materials dropped by pirates, and it only died once by exceeding range when my iCourier boost to 600+ m/s from standing still within 2 seconds. Most of them can now live up to their max lifespan and perform their task with optimal effectiveness. Very delightful to see that
One small thing though, I have to avoid sending out any limpets when I'm targeting anything they can carry to avoid one-time direct collection. They will just fall into oblivion after retrieving the target. I was expecting them to come back to cargo bay though. They are already at the door, why wouldn't they come in?
Anyway, nice work on 3.0, FD. Indeed some nice QoL changes here and there. I was writing about some suggestions about powerplay, but I think it'll take a bit longer cause there's much things to do right now
