Against my best judgement i bought horizons and gave this game a second chance. I realised pretty quick that not only does the game not offer a whole lot compared to games like X-3, it also makes it very annoying to just try enjoying the little that is there. For example, getting blown up by ships that are green to you because a stray shot hit them. And now these stories about getting taken 100LY away for a 1000cr bounty. It feels like theyre trying their hardest to make this game's annoyances into features.
My answer to this has been so far staying in exploration (searching perhaps in future colonized ELW´s and terraformables to get my CMDR´s name on them as a first discoverer, for me to come check them later in VR with 1080 x 2 for any kind of life when opened for landing, but recently also because it pays so damn well now), and in trading/mission running mostly related to ("minor") Faction influence (I wanna expand one certain faction, but also make money with passengers/bulk trade missions, thus I can do both at the same time along with selling exploration data to affect influence).
In a nuttshell, I voluntarily choose not to take active self propelled part in a PvE/PvP before it has been fully fleshed out (though I still enjoy the "possible danger from psychopaths"-element in Open, reminding me from mass-murdering-psycho-npc´s of FFE or "Elite 3"), with all it´s Crime&Punishment features,
and focus on other features of Elite that makes credits for all of my alts for future PvE/PvP (and use other games for PvE/PvP, though I´m getting so old blowing up others just don´t give same satisfaction it used to).
