Controller recognition on Xbox screwed.

And since vulnerabilities these days tend to have logos and fancy names, I propose to call this one "Slurming" and derive a logo from this event in pop culture:

None of that impacts me that hugely, although mission woes feels something FD could try to mitigate with CI testing.

Not sure why it is so big fuzz...fixing bugs in such game is never ending story, and reward exploitation will be always an issue which FD will have to mitigate.

As for having bugs and issues with new systems...things will get sorted out. Some things already are.

Missions where they ask you to get them 18 Osmium make them pay you 30 Osmium + cash? really?

Please don't be pedantic, Erich, nobody could possibly have foreseen ... wa-wait ...

These sorts of things happen from time to time.
High Tech Systems in Outbreak states that sell the very medicines they generate missions to bring in, Agricultural Systems in Famine states selling the food they so badly need...

My personal favourite was that planetary base, the one that gave g5 mats plus millions of creds in return for water.

(Yes folks, it sold water.)

Depends on the woes, the complexity of the system, and on the tests that are run. Sure, this one may be relatively easy now (for example, "don't let missions generate rewards that are requested in other missions of the same type" sounds dece in hindsight), but what about longer loops cropping up somewhere with a new mission template that may become exploitable under weird circumstances when all elements just happen to occur in the same place?

High Tech Systems in Outbreak states that sell the very medicines they generate missions to bring in, Agricultural Systems in Famine states selling the food they so badly need... they also tend to be short-lived and dry up on their own. As long as they stay that way, it's not really any big deal.
Oh yeah good old commodities market only really impacted by the ruling faction :D

I'm so sorry miners

I didn't think this would actually get removed like this. The titles was a bit of a joke ad the board hopping required to get 20M was far more than a minute (although I did get an additional 20M from the leftovers, so it's more like 40M a half hour with good rng). I was just trying to poke fun at a glitch, not trying to get mining disabled from the game.

On the bright side maybe this will incentivise them to get the next patch out sooner since at the rate of mission exploits they soon won't have any missions left (I know another potential exploit that involves 3 different types of missions. Going to test it today to see if it is actually that bad)

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that we will be temporarily removing mining missions from the game, until we're able to implement the next patch and set of hotfixes (I will let you know when the patch is coming as soon as possible).
Thank you for identifying this issue and bringing it to our attention. We have already identified a fix for it, and that will be coming in the next update as mentioned above.

For those interested, the issue is due to the introduction of the new mission reward choices, which is a large scale change that touches on almost all mission templates. Thanks for your patience while these are offline.

LOL

OP you are a superstar. At this rate EVERY MISSION type will be dropped from the board!!! I literally spit out my coffee when I saw Ed's post. This update is the best eva!

I HOPE YOU REALISE... This is seriously affecting the BGS and should not be allowed.

I mean I'm a miner and the way I got all those missions wasn't through board hopping for them but through picking them up while I was looking for normal mining missions. In the time it took to get all of those missions I probably completed 2-3x as many legit. In theory this is terrible for BGS, but in my case it's effect on BGS was minimal compared to the effect I legit had on BGS. Once prismatic goes into boom I'll have to do a few inf+++++ mining missions though to make it up to AD's bgs team.

allot of miners stopped using this missions long before your post.
previous update made it that no mining missions will spawn when you have the goods in your hold, that killed it.
