I Like It

Thumps up here too, most the planets look great, will be incredible with atmospheres, my conda now jumps 62lys  ....engineers is much better, currently re working my ships, it's still a grind getting mats but the traders have helped alot, wish we could just buy them though

Yeah, I like it too.

A lot of the complaints about the engineering comes from people who have to undertake "another grind", which is understandable.

But from a recently returned player, the material gathering is an activity that I can combine with a lot of other activities (though I do miss the non-exploitable version of the skimmer missions for this), so the engineering progress comes quite naturally.

The planets are so nice in their new coloring. The way they are lighted and reflect is also different. It's like part of ED is new again. I enjoyed seeing the new ice textures, the darker shadows on dark sides of moons and planetoids..

Collecting materials is also more fun. The indication of material inventory with the new options makes it feel less of a grind and more of a relaxed hunt, knowing one can conveniently trade with the material brokers to get more of a particular material.

Somebody said there was cereal down here ....

Hey Frontier,

The OP got a ton of +REP, which you may or may not be able to see, but not much interaction, which is how we tend to judge a thread. Don't let that dishearten you. There's an interesting TED-Talk about how people gravitate toward negative discussions and thoughts over positive ones, as our brain is for some reason wired for this, and we see this often play out here in the forums where the negative threads explode and the positive ones quickly get pushed down the stack. I personally don't care whether my thread is popular are not, I just want to bring balance to the extreme negativity that boils up from time-to-time (and you all know that I'm not a koolade-drinking 'white knight'). So don't judge a thread's merit based on the number of posts alone is what I'm saying :)

If I find that TED-Talk, I'll add a link.

I like Life cereal, and I like the 3.0 update. It's not perfect, and there's tons of bugs to fix, but all in all, I like it. I'm especially impressed with the jaw-dropping new planets (I've never known anything but the beige plague). In contrast to all the negative threads going right now, I just wanted to let Frontier know.

Oh yeah? OH YEAH?! Well, I like it even more.

Yeh I'm having fun again. New planets are awesome and is that Chieftain. Actually sold my Vulture ten minutes after buying the Chieftain. New engineering system is ace, as are mat brokers. Two days and the fleet is all geared up and ready to go.

I'm with you; I've never not liked Elite, and feel like they are always moving forward (two steps up, one step down, two steps up...). Mikie will eat anything, though.

That's the common mistake people make. The line actually is, "Give [the cereal] to Mikey..... He won't eat it he hates everything..... (Mikey eats and likes cereal) Hey Mikey!! He Likes It!"

Which is apropos because I was actually very disappointed with 2.4 on my PS4. So if I like 3.0, then it must be good!
