Punished because npc's are stupid

Patch 3.0.2 "Notoriety exemption for murder by ramming now applies everywhere, not just near stations"

So OP how did you really kill him?

Just a little tickle with those guns, guess you didn't even notice.

Not to get to Top Gun about it but

He went up like this we went like that and I heard hollywood saying whered he go and Im like where'd who go

my target followed him as I was trying to bring my fixed lasers onto him and the guy he was chasing swerved into me. No hits. he was evasive and dunted me and then I hear a crack them im getting fined for murdering ABE something.

At Dav's Hop, check out a local settlement, warning ms isn't transgressor but warning, cool! kill the skimmers netting me a few thousand credit, destroy a turret and miss the fine message (200c) because you can't scroll the top right screen once the ms has gone. So I leave the area - all modules are hot, but don't notice until I've swapped a few out for engineering purposes. Only realise I have the fine because modules show a legal warning and I finally find the Fine notice down the darkened missing stairs and past the sign warning me to beware the leopard (right screen in a sub sub menu that I barely remembered being there).

Stupid stupid mechanics!

Community wanted trolls to be annihilated for being . Thats a security force down on you if you murder another player without warning or reason.

Locking you out of your local playing area for two hours for an NPC mistake is not a solution. Grind grind and grind again.

Wrong. PvE'ers wanted more meaningful consequences for all criminal acts.

You hit him with at least one of your weapons.

Notoriety can't be gained from ramming someone to death.

I don't know where this 'crime and punishment was introduced solely to deter the gankers' mindset has come from. Wishful thinking, probably. It was never going to work.

Meaningful crime and punishment was brought in across the board, affecting all types of players. You've just fallen foul of the law so you do your time. It's how justice works.

Im commenting on a fault in the games logic not the crime and punishment systems neccesity

Sorry guys I will forever be adamant that he swerved into me from my right i never once had guns on him...still practicing with fixed and im being careful about energy

Ok, let's try something then. Let's arrange to meet up and I'll ram you to death with my Corvette and see if I get notoriety for it.

If you truly didn't see the ship, and you gained notoriety, it likely crashed into your ship just forward of a hardpoint, but still off your LoS. And squoosh goes the hauler.

Cmdr Lucca1985;6513407I'm sitting in langsdorff mine in Zvaiti waiting for notority to wear off.[/QUOTE said:
If you're docked, you'll have a long wait. Notoriety only wears off if flying... AFAIK that is...

Legitimate C&P complaint to validate thread: The Assault fine vs assault bounty. Anyone ever seen the fine? Ever? I haven't. I even tried it with a small unengineered pulse laser. Still bounty.

There is, but then you should've created a thread about a potential bug rather than complaining about C&P.

Yeah I'm sure thats never happened on here before. As a consumer i reserve the right to get tetchy when things get worse during repairs and upgrades

Says on the advice if you wait two hours and then take of frame shift then go back that'll do it.

Tried going to a nav point instantly targeted by an unwanted that I couldn't shoot back at. Wait out I suppose
