A problem with Space Legs™

I just replied to the post I quoted... ;)
Anyway, the problem could be solved by removing lethal weapons from the game, they are already illegal in many jurisdictions.

haven't you heard; the solution to lethal weapons isn't to remove those weapons, but instead, to give those weapons to everyone (including teachers, because, yeah...) :(

They introduced millennium ships into the game but forgot to include EVA so we could explore them properly, crashed Thargoid mother-ships that we can't enter and see what the insides look like, settlements that we could sneak into and disable their security systems, maybe have a firefight with NPCs if an alarm goes off - all that possibility is in the game now (well, add some Planet Coaster NPCs for that last bit).

Yea, I want spacelegs please (but atmospheric planets first).

..... (well, add some Planet Coaster NPCs for that last bit)....

I see this a lot, and wonder if anyone's thought it through.

These cartoon people running around the ED universe would be an art-style and thematic clash even CMDR Eagleboy couldn't give it the big I am to explain away.

There is very simple things that could add more immersion to the game without tedious SC things.

Simple thing as : getting out your chair and walking to the srv and entering in it..... instead of magically reapers in there.

Bases like Dave hope could be also used for legs to explore.

Just search for game called Parkan 2..... and that will be good example how the space legs should be in Elite Dangerous.

you can even now, sit there with ship and rail guns and shoot srv´s

I should hopefully be getting my graphics card finally delivered today. Once my PC is up and running and I can play the game on a big screen at 144fps instead of laptop at 15, I have a tanked-up DBX fitted with dumbfires and a multicannon ready to go on some high speed strafing runs out at either Dav's Hope or the new Guardian sites. :)

The artstyle can be changed, but the under-the-hood software tech could be used.

For sure, the crowd tech that Plant Roaster uses is pretty damn cool, and supposedly has relatively minimal overheads on the old processing power too.

I'd like to think we'll see some iteration of it included in Elite in the next 18 months or so.

Don't you think that is sailing way too close to the winds that led us to 'this is multicrew, it's rubbish right now and we'll only look at improving it if people use this rubbish thing that no-one wants to use'?
Not for my part.
Have not used multi crew yet, but I sure as hell will use those feet, if they come. :)

For people who can't imagine what first person EVA gameplay could add to Elite Dangerous: check Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves is essentially an open world, fantasy, pirate game. It has an emphasis on multiple crew members collaborating with different roles.

So there's many interesting and cool things to do on foot, rather than being the ship. Similar concepts should be used for ED.
