No matter how many times I see that video I never fail to burst out laughing. So good.
That is not griefing, that is straightforward and simple harassment.... I suggest you actually learn what griefing means.
Griefing does NOT involve comms, it is a form of harassment using just PvP. It is comparable in terms of real world harassment to that just involving stalking, invading someone's space, or unwanted touching.

I think we, as a community, need to take it to the courts. We need bright-line definitions for all of these terms, because it gets tiring when everyone just crams whatever meaning into them to best suit their personal argument.
Are you really comparing griefing to real life stalking and possible sexual harrassment?
Personally, I draw the line at stuff like the picture Dingo shared; that's over the line. Other then that, you can't grief me either on comms or ingame. I welcome the byplay in either case. What the majority of this community considers "trolls" I welcome with open arms.

Not me. I want things to degenerate into a knock-down, drag-out, ears and noses being bitten off, eyeballs gouged out, open compound fractures kinda fight.

It seems to be the only way to get the message across to some that harassment does not just involve textual/verbal communication.
Just as stalking is harassment through just observing/spying/following, griefing is essentially harassment involving just PvP.

What if as a pirate I stalk a given target until they are in a position where I can best take advantage of them? is that griefing?
I am not the one who has to judge what does or does not actually constitute either griefing or harassment - only the person complaining and the relevant enforcing body (in this case FD) can say whether any given case is either true griefing or harassment. There are no precise definitions as to what does or does not constitute griefing but I am 100% sure textual/verbal communication is not a requirement.
In loose terms though without any other contextual information, straight up piracy - as a single incident - like you describe would almost certainly not be considered griefing.

Clearly by his definition yes. Same if I hunt down wanted commanders, or power play commanders. All three of these examples are valid game play styles.
Depends on the nature of the stalking, if you go through their bins then steal their underwear off the washing line you've gone too far.
