Good to see the updates are a confused mess where almost no one actually knows what’s going on. Least of all us, the people actually impacted by it.

I see the section pertaining to USS's.

But nothing was actually mentioned about them as only Guardian sites were mentioned.

Was anything done to address finding High Grade Signal sources?

Updating...Launcher still states 3.02, but it's the 3.0.3 patch.

Well, now slightly salty. No thanks to everyone who exploited the base bombing with dumbfires, FD's fix now makes my mine bomber largely useless that i'd been using for about a year to do base missions.

Do we know if all ground-based missions are affected, or just skimmer assassination missions? I quite enjoy taking out defenses around private data ports using dumbfires, as I find that to be fun gameplay (I've never used any 'exploits' in the game). If this option has been removed, I shall be.... disappointed..

Hmmmm, what is confusing about this update?

People are mostly asking about things not mentioned in changelog, hoping their fix for their pet bug is included.

Outfitting is now locked for players in Hot Ships, even in jurisdictions where they are not directly wanted. All currently stored modules will be cleaned

Really this is way to harsh for players that are pirates and take pride in their wanted statuses and such . This change is way to limiting for a whole proffesion of this game , it need to be rewerted to what is was .

Yeah, ill partially blame FD for such fixes, was never happy with how they changed skimmers to be made of impossiblium when ships rammed them to stop a previous exploit, but i reserve plenty of salt for the exploiters as well.

What was that? Exploiters exploiting don't affect anyone else?

Yeah, sorry, you can shove that up your nether regions.

Honestly? Don’t be stupid. It’s not players. People will do whatever the game lets them do. This is ENTIRELY on frontier doing what they always do. Over react, over compensate and over cook changes. Again. As they always do. Don’t blame your fellow players for playing, or excuse Frontier’s outright militant and ignorant approach to missions.

Blame the developer. It’s on them. And they seem perfectly happy to do this. Every. Single. Time.

To be fair blasting skimmers away with bombs was fun but highly OP. It will need base gameplay rethink to enable such fun again.

Yeah, but it took at least a little time and skill. Aiming so your bombs would land on the base instead of your own hull for a start (gets quite scary when you hit yourself with the effect that shuts down engines), plus on a high G world it was quite tricky.

Defences are rocket launchers have always been something you destroy with ship. But it seems change is that skimmers 'spawn' only when you are in SRV (which they like burrows from the ground as they usually do). So I think it feels logical to me.

No outfitting on hot ships at all anywhere???

Has anyone involved with this change done piracy missions or really any combat missions which will get you a bounty? What happened to being able to be an outlaw with bounties on your ship across space? This totally ruins my playstyle, I like having a hot combat ship for being bad in but now it will be locked into one loadout forever unless I go the boring route and pay it off.

Yeah this seems wery short sighted locking a whole profession out like this?

I'd guess all.

It might make some ground based missions easier though, without having to worry about skimmers firing at your ship.

Also.... anyone want to take a bet and FD introduce a bug here, in that skimmers will now not spawn at regular stations? I'm giving odds of 2-1!

This is called fun. It is not permitted in a serious game such as elite. You simply were not playing correctly. I’d be more apologetic but this is SOP at this point. Folks will not stop until all fun is removed.

Many 'criminals' were boasting on these forums that the new C&P has no consequences for them.. that they don't have to pay off bounties and have billions of Cr to do so anyway. FDev can't provide consequences for crime AND allow you to commit crime without consequence simultaneously.

Perhaps this recent change is a bit too harsh but some consequences have to actually stick or there is no point..

Well done for repeating what I said. Congratulations. Maybe be less fast on mocking people and a little faster in understanding the thrust of a comment. :)

Why being salty?

Change log clearly states changes they introduced, also fixed mentioned previously. Some fixes aren't mentioned - most likely because they didn't make cut - so people asked for them. End of story.

I am not mocking you. I am just wondering what reason there is to be super salty again.

I'd guess all.

Changelog talks about Settlements.

Problem now is that we get locked out totally even for a 100cred bounty galaxy wide this is a bit way to much ..
