Still seeing some crashes to desktop when I go to the galaxy screen. otherwise I appreciate the update. Thanks

Hmm, I don't think Clogging and no consequences griefing are 2 sides of a coin. One is abusing in-game mechanics to "farm salt," and the other exploits out-of-game circumstances that are basically impossible to control for.
Combat logging used to be a huge Issue in DayZ, And DayZ has probably got the most useless dev team in history and even they managed to fix it.

Like i said though, I am more than happy for a good functioning C&P system, so long as both sides of the coin are addressed, unlike what we currently have and thats 1 side is being repeatedly flogged like a dead horse and the other swiftly hidden under the carpet and countless devs burying their heads in the sand making the "la la la la" sound to avoid an ongoing issue since before the game launched.
Just my thoughts atleast

Okay so mining missions are back but they have completely taken over my missions list... been to every station in Wu Guinagi, and the mission boards are full of mining rushes and nothing else... can anyone else confirm?

Yay! Mining missions are back! I'm at Founders World and can see a few now! They haven't totally invaded my mission list.....yet.

Now, all we need are the Skimmers missions and we're all set! :D

Great so FD took away my favorite mission type (and i wasnt using it as an exploit either) and now you cant do outfitting anywhere if you are wanted in one system.
That makes absolutely no sense at all. Thats like if i have a bench warrant in Ohio i cant buy beer in Oklahoma. Ridiculous.
You know the problem with you guys, FD, is you have no sense of fun. I bet you didnt even fix the com panel did you?

*chuckle

Let me tell you a little story.

I live in Georgia. Last time I went to renew my driver's license I was selected for a random background check, then denied a license.

Seems New York State has an open warrant for someone with my same name and Birthdate for some minor drug offense.

I had to contact them and provide proof that I was not the individual they were seeking before they would notify Georgia that I was not the person on their 'He can't have a license because we are looking for him' list.

I was told 'carry that letter with you, always.'

So, yeah...

So from what i have observed from playing since the patch....

I can no longer replicate any coms panel issues. So from what I can tell its been fixed. Is anyone else finding this too?

At first I could still not pay off my powerplay bounties at any isf. But just logged on and this time it was available. So another one temp fixed.

Thanks for the continued efforts Dev team....

Hi everyone,

Thank you for your feedback about the outfitting lock. We understand your frustrations, and we're currently looking in to what are options are available in order for us to rectify this.

Thanks again, we'll share more information as soon we've got it.

When i docked to an orbital in the utilities engineer's system for the first time, in a t7 transporter, and found the outfitting pannel locked due to legal things, i thought it was a bug. so i undocked, and went to a different station, and lastly i tried the engineer's base. I cept on thinking something was wrong, untill i logged in to the forum...
Nice thing u noticed to our feedback, btw, But i am still in my mining fitted t7 with no access to outfitting, quite a few hours later.
So, while i am here, could i ask for a tiny weeny favour?
Could u please, make it so space ships in empty space, ceep on boosting faster, if i manage to use the boost thing, before the space ship's speed, in empty space drops back down to before-boost-speed?
Like this. Let's take a hypothetical ship, and fitt it with a first grade thrusters, powerplant and distributor, and give it a 100 speed, 200 with boost, undock, boost up and the distributor regains enough power for a second boost before the space ship in empty space drags back down to cruising speed. Let's say the ship is ready to boost again, while at 110 speed Then, use the "engine boost" feature again, and add any speed remaining to the resault, so, since we use the full amount of power to boost up, get a full speed boost, and gain 210 speed... Before the space ship in empty space drags back down to 120 boost up again, and gain an other additional 10 speed speeding up to 220 the third time, and so on.
There r many bad ideas in elite dangerous.
The outfitting thing, is just one of the many.
And, all tho the GOOD ideas, outnumber the bad, some times it is hard to see the good stuff through all those flaws.
The first time i logged in, and flew out the station in my first sidewider, boosted it up, and then witness it slowing back down, i honestly thought it was a bug.
Any way.
It's not like i suggest to replace the "engine boost" thing we have now with a multy-use feature gradually using power and producing heat at the process to either accelerate, dicellerate, (to the same top speed we get now, i don't know if full newtonian physics would b a good idea to this game.) or, turn faster, depending on presseing and hold, or, double tab the key binded to the "engine boost" and the position of the throttle.
That would b just asking for too much.

with cind regards cmndr bad move.

Excellent! Of course I just stripped all my mining gear from my ship, LOL. Murphey's law to the rescue! Now what kind of system offers these missions? I've been assuming refinery economies, is that correct?

What Happened I logged in went to change my load out ..and it was locked for legal reasons ..no way to pay any fines ..so I stupidly went to the system to see if I could pay fines got destroyed ..lost over 3million credits retreiving ship and legal fees ..now I am broke non the wiser and all my credits are gone ...what Just happened I want my Lawyer give me my credits back they fired on me first . all I did was shoot skimmers and pirates ...stupid Update I wont be playing for weeks now I am so peeved to put it mildly ..

Yea, especially since you pay them 6 Gs a year in premiums.

Blocking outfitting due to a bounty in a random system when docked an independent uncontrolled anarchy is game breaking and immersion breaking stupidity. Stop it elsewhere, crank up the price, make it a pain in the - fine. But nowhere! Madness. Whoever came up with that should be fired.

Crime
  • Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted

This will be great for those lacking in trigger discipline and target identification.
Engineers
  • Fixed an issue where the Guardian Power Plant could be Engineered

You do realize this IS something we actually DO want though? Same with Guardian Weapons and Meta-Alloy Hull Reinforcements.

Galaxy Map/System Map

  • Fixed the Galaxy Map filter configuration selection not persisting on subsequent re-openings of the Galaxy Map

Somewhat minor in grand scheme, but a welcome fix.

Installations/POIs/USSs

  • Fixed some of the Guardian Sites having a different layout since the 3.0 update
  • Fixed a pylon that could not be scanned at a Guardian Site
  • Fixed an issue where some Guardian Codices only displayed when in a group

I'd love to hear the official explanation as to why, every time there is an update, these sites get shuffled like playing cards.
Thank goodness for the pylon fix, that was annoying.
Same with the Appears for Groups thing - would love to hear why this happens.

Missions

  • Balance pass on wing delivery and collect missions
  • Skimmers only spawn when you are in an SRV
  • While in a ship, approaching Settlements where Skimmers are spawned will trigger the crime of trespass
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Ram Tah missions to expire too early

1. Is that pronouced "nerf"?
2. This will change the dynamics of skimmer strikes.
3. Not sure how to feel about this.
4. YAY! Super annoying - lost this mission my first attempt. Any planned compensation for those affected by this?

Ships & SRV

General Ship Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed an issue whereby you could not retract your ship’s landing gear after dying in an SRV
  • Fixed an issue where players were sometimes unable to rebuy their ship after disconnecting when dying
  • Improved the field of fire on a Large Turreted Weapons when equipped to the Large Hardpoint

1. Never had that happen, thank goodness.
2. See #1
3. Will have to see if there is any notable difference - don't use a lot of large turreted weapons.

Alliance Chieftain

  • Fixed Chieftain cockpit hit region being oversized

This will be nice for all those folks getting their canopies shot out.

Dolphin

  • Fixed an issue whereby re-logging when driving an SRV could lead to issues boarding your ship

What about all the other ships this happens with, like the Orca, Asp, Cobra, Imperial Courier, and the rest of the "low riders"? Anaconda doesn't have this issue because of the forty-story drop from the SRV bay.

User Interface
  • The Materials Ignore List automatically ignores any materials which the player does not have the capacity to collect
  • Fixed mining fragments not displaying the material percentage when selected

Both good items - can we slate showing the Material composition of asteroids/iceteroids for the Mining Update segment of Beyond? It would be great to know, when Prospecting a rock, not just what fragments it will produce, but also what Elements it will produce.

Weapons & Modules

  • Added an extra decimal point to the display of power plant heat rate to allow small changes to be seen

Do we REALLY need an extra decimal place? I'd like to lose a few decimal places and round up. This would mean the difference between 5 rolls of engineering and 11 rolls of engineering. I just love progressing from 99.90 to 99.91, and if I'm super lucky, jumping all the way to 99.06 and so on, to finish an upgrade.

Sometimes Less really is More.

lol :D

Who on Earth goes to the system with a bounty to see if they can take care of it?

BTW, you were flying without rebuy.... smh.

You can't access refuel when in a hot ship either!!

I didn't see that in the patch notes. It says

Patch Notes said:
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to pay off a fine they had received in their SRV after transferring back to their ship
  • Fixed ATR response not resetting upon ship destruction
  • The Kill Warrant Scanner grants a license to kill for any faction bounty linked to the current jurisdiction’s superpower
  • Outfitting is now locked for players in Hot Ships, even in jurisdictions where they are not directly wanted. All currently stored modules will be cleaned
  • A player’s own Power Bounties no longer cause their legal status to appear as 'Wanted' or increase their local bounty in their own cockpit
  • Attacking Wanted ships (player or NPC) is now legal even if the player does not know they are Wanted
  • Fixed an issue where Superpower bounties would be displayed with incorrect values
  • Fixed an issue where players were not forced to pay certain fines/bounties when respawning at a Detention Centre
  • All bounties detected with the Kill Warrant Scanner are claimed when the ship is destroyed
  • Superpower bounties are issued once a ship has bounties in 5 or more factions affiliated with a superpower
  • Destroyed ships will be recovered by the faction controlling the jurisdiction, or the faction controlling the port they were last docked at where possible
  • Factions that recover destroyed ships will check for criminal debts and deport the player to the nearest detention centre to pay them
  • NPCs have a chance to be affiliated with factions from nearby systems, and a smaller chance to be from further afield
  • Wanted NPCs may have secondary bounties issued by factions from other systems

Where in that list does it say refueling won't be accessible while in a hot ship? It says outfitting. Refueling is not part of Outfitting. There are outposts I've been on that offered refueling but didn't offer Outfitting.

Hello everyone,

The reason for this is that the system of cleaning ‘hot’ modules in storage was creating an unfair punishment, where commanders were removing modules from ‘hot’ ships that only had small bounties on them and then discovered that the cost for cleaning ‘hot’ modules was dramatically more expensive!

Mutch appreciated :)

I'm at a High-tech system now, but they are usually refinery economies as well so I think you'd find mining missions at both, and probably at Industrial systems as well.
