That is...

...some breathtaking pants.

Haha, they have added a logout timer when logging out near other players.

I'm waiting for the PvPers to start a combat logging subreddit :D

Character customization? I thought that was already in?

Oooh, added a tiny bit of persistence... erm... ok.

Ships and Vehicles (coming soon, but not part of initial focus)

So.... not actually part of this patch? Soon (TM).

Major Known Issues:

40014 will cause a client crash. W/A: If this occurs, wait 10 minutes and relaunch.
The missing person/crew missions immediately abandon after accepting.
IFCS fixes are still pending.
Some ships still intended are missing (Reclaimer, Terrapin) while awaiting some final bug fixes.

Umm.... no mention of performance issues? Or is that the IFCS that is still pending?

What i'm reading, its not going to really make the game more playable.

That's an insult to pants. Not your image — those are extraordinary — but the comparison to the interim nightly-build patch notes. I guess the performance-boosting jesus patch with all those long-missing game mechanics has now moved up to 3.2. I'm shocked and surprised.

But they managed to release at least something without delay...and thats a big morale booster for some backers, because finally CIG follows their roadmap...
3.1 lacking promised features ?!
Who cares :D -> backers have very short memory span...and CIG knows it..

It's good to see them release a patch on time for once :)

Hope they can keep it up for the next 3 patches this year.

They will split 3.1 and 3.2 promised features in 4 small patches and at end of 2018 we will have actual promised 3.2 ;)
Ok Ok, maybe not all promised features some move to 2019..after all its a CIG we are talking here...

Well, that's just it, isn't it? What actually qualifies as “following the roadmap”? You'd think that actually being able to plan and estimate (in terms of scope and time) the milestone, and then reaching them would be part of that, not just putting some new files on the CDN for people to download.

“Yay, guys, we followed the roadmap!”
“Well, yes, technically in a sense I suppose, but you also took a short-cut across that field and your wheels are now stuck in the mud and your engine is full of corn and the corn farmer is looking for some payback for that uncontrolled drifting skid you pulled half-way through that took out half the field… So you didn't really follow the map or even the road, as such, did you? Also, where are your passengers?”
“But we're at this point on the map, and on the time we said we'd be here! Praise us!”
“… nah”

:p

I'm surprised that they have the Cyclone in the game already. Figured it would be awhile yet...

Well, vehicles behaviors are sort of™ available in stock in the CryEngine/Lumberyard, and after the first person re-re-refactor fiasco I assume this time they didn't try to reinvent the wheel (pun intended).
