General / Off-Topic Flat Earth

Well, the donut at least makes sense as an object stable in all three dimensions.

Kind of, naturally, the fact is that anything with decent amount of mass sooner or later collapses into a ball...

I have a feeling that the flat-ers are simply the best trolls today.
Dry humour disguised as working theories.
i'm sure there are some members that actually believe, but the websites and arguments read as sarcasm.

Best trolls? Not at all, since succeeding in making someone think you are an imbecile is so easy. Any imbecile can do it...

But those can't be right because I was told that there isn't an edge you can fall off earlier! Apparently it's all "on the bottom", of what I have no idea, and I can in no way visualise it. Unless it's like some kind of endless expanse, which is good news I guess since that means we wont run of out land to live on any time soon! We can stop all those stupid wars over water and resources! We just have to find those other parts of the flat map! Yay!

There is no edge in the flat model because land is the bottom. Different paradigm. Forget about space. Imagine it's all reversed. The Earth is an eternal realm and above us in the skies is the ether. Above the ether is the firmament and then the Empyrean.

I dunno if it is true but it makes a great read.

Oh sure, well the Empyrean... Yeah, that ties the whole theory together. Makes total sense now!

You know that line in Scarface: "don't get high on your own supply"? Well, here's why, people. You do a little too much and all of a sudden you're on the bottom of everything and the Empyrean is all up in your business.

Like I said, endless expanse! Why do people waste time fighting over land when we can just do some hiking and find more awesome flat land to colonise. Heck, I might even do it today! Imagine it! I can be king of my own country!

Look I am not a flat earther. Just a sci fi fan into great stories. Everyone is mocking an old flat earth theory, or still including space. FORGET ABOUT SPACE. The new shizz is all about the realm of Earth. I love it great stuff. The notion that there could be land masses and continents populated with alien cultures or even species different than our own. Created by a community of gods or just the one. Are they gods? All this is great sci fi. I view it as such. I want stories and epics about exploring and meeting different cultures across the ice wall in the supposed south.
