Funny thing being I started playing this game on pc before moving to consoles with a second and then third account. Nothing like this exists on consoles while pc players have SC all to themselves, so I would say in answer to yer question that if yer a console player, then alternatives are few and far between, with what little competition there is being second rate at best and literally paling in elites shadow.

In real life, money is an issue fer me...thats partly why I dont have a pc anymore and my once beloved alfa romeo is starting to show its age...still stubbornly refuse to part with her though love it too much. My point? My point iks that outside what bills I have to pay and now and again eat and raise my teenage daughter who is at an age where a tenner a week pocket money went outta fashion decades ago...she has her own debit card I mean how old am I? When I was her age, Id never even heard of a debit card.

So anyway ye...the point. I pickup my xb1x in a few weeks...4 brick is a lotta money to someone like me and I got no shortage of red letter bills that would swallow that up in no time flat. Thankfully, bailiffs dont operate here because they afraid of us, so they sit and threaten us with letters that get annoying after a bit of ignoring and laughing at until the absolute last minute before losing a vital service like the internet.

4 brick is a lotta green to me...the single only motivating factor is my complete and utter addiction to this game and its the closest Ill get to pc performance on a console...although to be fair the xb1s I have now runs better and faster than my antique pc did and I still got addicted back then.

Yeah, especially on XBOX there isn't really anything similar that I can find. No NMS, SC, ST Bridge Crew, etc.

We tried the other Star Trek game but it's not really a serious spaceship game lol.

Makes the argument fer consoles so much easier to win when there are no real alternatives to begin with. Theres much less confusion in the console camp than there is in the pc camp I dare say...a lot less salt and a bit more maturity at times too, but thats another story ^

I think both confusion and competition is very low on PC as well. After all, all these "Elite is dead" guys keep returning.

Yes, lots of confusion on the PC side.

I just spent a few hours looking at upcoming and recently released "Elite" like games and wow - there are a lot of lower quality early access games, but besides NMS and SC I didn't find any contenders...
