Add Option for Blood and Gore

The species profile video has a Velociraptor attack a goat. It doesn't have a single drop of blood or gore. For those who prefer realism, there should be an option to turn it on.

Yeah this is a big issue for me as well. I hope the game isn't devoid of blood and gore when it gets released. Some speculated that gore and blood was left out of this species profile for a reason, mostly to do with censorship. I hope that's all it was. After I got over how amazing the raptor looked the lack of blood and gore hit me. Even JPOG had some slight blood and gore. It showed drops of blood and even small puddles of I believe with the animals swallowing chunks of red meat from what they killed. It wouldn't make much sense to have such detailed animals that look this amazing and leave out a little blood and gore from a kill. If people weren't going to get in close to view their Dinosaurs this wouldn't be an issue but obviously we will be able to view our Dinos up close, so seeing bloodless kills like this would be a major immersion killer and it looks really cheesy and fake. I would still get the game though.

BestInSlot and TheGamingBeaver said they had a few minor issues with the game and I am wondering if the lack of blood and gore is one of them. Even the movie let us see a fake bloody goat leg and a fake bloody arm and it was rated PG.

This is what we want to be like Frontier. If it has to be done in a release day DLC then make it happen. I will buy.

Up vote if you think JWE should get an extreme extra detailed blood and gore DLC cause of the novels. :)

I agree too.

The goat in the video looks like a squashy toy and in serious terms, it should look like it hurts - developing empathy for goats!!

In game terms - a slider from 'realistic' to 'torrents of stoopid' would probably also be quite popular, what with with people being people and all.

The goat looks ok. Maybe it could use a little more detail but the missing blood and gore that you would expect to see from a kill like that is the worst offense for a game that seems to be focusing on high amounts of detail.

I want to see a raptor rip a goats leg off and then run around shaking the bloody stump everywhere. Like at humans on the other side of the fence.

I kid.

Not really. :)

I'm with Chris Simon there ....

I'd agree. But is a certain amount of blood when a predator kills a prey item 'very gratuitous' or more like 'the truth'?

It's there in David Attenborough programs and without it? I don't mean the model of the goat is bad, it just didn't seem to die and let's be honest, with a velociraptor on it's six, it probably would.

Real predatory birds - dino Juniors and this is totally aside - don't actually worry about killing their prey. Soon as it's immobilised, alive or dead they just start to eat. Not saying a game need to go that far but the predator can lose it's threat. (DLC is a good idea imo).

This game should have AT LEAST as much blood as JPOG. The fact that there is zero blood at all when that goat gets attacked breaks realism and immersion IMO.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Yeah, for a movie series all about dios rampaging and killing stuff not having at least a token amount of gib is a little werid.

No blood, guts, gibs, jibs or blood-curdling screams of terror in Jurassic Park, especially in a Jurassic Park game, is heresy of the highest order.
Plus, not having that in just makes it look unfinished, unrealistic and childish, IMHO - it would/will bother me to no end seeing that.

Yeah they better get some blood and gore in the game. At least what you would expect.

There should definitely be an option for blood/gore to be in the game. It would really help with immersion with it being on. Just have it off by default and make the users manually have to change it.

I agree

Yes! We need blood! If for no reason other than realism and immersion. It will look very bizarre if dinosaurs are eating people and other animals and NO blood is visible. Please please please!

I would really like to see dynamic gore. If a carnivore takes down large prey, I want to see that prey item get torn apart in real time with "destruction" (as in the body getting skin and flesh torn off of it wherever the prey item gets torn into). That would be an amazing and immersive addition to the game.

Yes or no, this game is about building a park, not about tearing apart whole bodies, gushing blood and eating visitors. I can agree, this is part of Jurassic Park but it can't be mainly point as gore game. The best way is to add option to turn it on/off. So when we will turn on, there could be more animations, blood etc. It is only my opinion but as I menitoned before, it shouldn't bee typical bloody game about flesh which is flying everywhere. ;)

I don't want this game to be a gore fest but also not totally devoid of gore. :) I hope it has blood in it though.
