I would wait for an official number from Frontier. The website is just teasing at present. I'd expect more information as we get nearer to release.

I don't understand why you are disappointed. Obviously other Dinosaurs will come along as DLC. I doubt Frontier had the time to fill the game up with all the Dinosaurs everyone wanted. Every Dino nerd out there wants their favorite obscure Dino in the game.

Did you see the quality of the Dinosaurs?

Also are we sure they would put all the Dinosaurs on that site?

Personally I would be more disappointed about other issues. Like what they are doing with the islands and the day and night cycle, the fact that Dinosaurs won't attack the ACU ranger land vehicles. Even then I am not that disappointed.

Variety is the spice of life. 26 + 5 essentially DLC is a very poor number. Yeah sure, they look great but the number is low. It's not just obscure ones that are missing. Famous ones like Allosaurus, Giga, Iguanodon, Baryonyx, Albertosaurus etc don't seem like they're making the cut.


Sure there will definitely be DLC, but that seems very EAish. Giving a low amount of dinosaurs on release and then charging $8 a pack each time they release new ones.

I prefer a middle ground. Quality and quantity. Quality is there, but the quantity isn't.

Although tbf, I'm less concerned with dinosaur number than I am park cosmetics. At least we've got some dinosaurs... park cosmetics we have zero. Then only a dozen buildings, one style viewing vent, one ride. That is not good... but then that's a discussion for another topic.

At the end of the day it's quality over quantity for me as well. However, I would still be a bit disappointed if it turns out that it's really just 26+5 at launch. It wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me though. I'm gonna get this game no matter what. But I do hope that if it's so few that there will be more, ideally as free DLC. But I would pay for more, depending on the dinosaurs and if the prices are within reason.

Agreed. That's a dumb decision. Just have day/night patterns. I'm dreading the perpetually night island... that's going to be zero amounts of fun constantly been unable to see things.

I don't expect to pay £50 at release only to be limited on Dinosaur count, if you're going to get people to pay good money up front make it worth their while. Otherwise you may as well buy from a key site for half the price then use the money you save on the DLC

There will surely be more post-release anyway. We already know of at least 26 confirmed dinosaurs. I believe it was BestInSlot that I saw bring this up: we haven't seen any of the notable new Fallen Kingdom dinosaurs. We haven't seen a hint of Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, or Indoraptor, to name a few. I find it hard to believe they won't be in the game at all, considering the movie is just around the corner. It was suggested that they would be added into the game after the movie is released.

I was going to post that. I just read it in the BestInSlot AMA on reddit. He said the version they were playing had 30 but there will be more in the final version.

So I guess people can stop being disappointed about there only being 30 Dinosaurs now.

Also BestInSlot said in the AMA on Reddit that when he asked about a free mode they said "wouldn't that be cool if it was in the game?". So we will most likely have a free mode, it doesn't specify if that is a Site B mode. I would like a free mode where I can build my own park and a separate Site B mode. With day and night cycles of course.

Also the orange lines are the borders of the park. That's how much space we have to play on.
