Is there any good stations that hand out non-wing missions that pay grade 5 mission only mats?

Skimmer missions did. But they removed that.

I think some normal assassination missions do as well, but I don't think any commodity related or courier missions do anymore unless they are for wings.

Skimmer missions are definitely still around. I was doing them yesterday. You can collect plenty of G5 materials from these missions. OP, PM me if you are interested in knowing where to go for these missions. They pay well too.

These are still around despite FDev removing several known systems.

The thing that sucks is that planet scan missions give you grade 5 mats, however, they grant a bounty even though they're supposed to be legal. I did 12 planet scan missions and they all stated that their beacon was malfunctioning and they want you to go scan it, to figure out what's wrong, but it gives out a bounty, which when you return to the station and turn the missions in, you're no longer able to take more missions - so after each batch of planet scan missions, you have to go to an IF, which is rather annoying.

It is presumably possible to find a base that offers scan missions that has an IFC present? You can access the Contacts I believe even with a bounty.

I've done a few normal assassination missions at Shinrarta and Massacre missions at the current CG. You def have to be allied before you get the ones offering 5xG5 mats though. My fav is the solo wing assassinations. They can easily be done in a Vulture if its engineered and don't take very long at all to complete. Would certainly be nice if they'd add some more for the people that don't do combat.

I find skimmer missions are faster and pay better, both in materials and credits.

Courier missions are the fastest and easiest missions conceivable. Not sure why they should give the rarest and most valuable mats as reward at all...

Do you know of any particular locations offering these missions? If so you might want to pm the op.

Still most mission offering grade 5 mats will be for wings, but you'll see occasional assassination missions and boom time delivery missions which are single hop offering those mats once you're allied. I hope Frontier does nerf those too.

Why would you want FDev to nerf them? What is with this nerfing everything into the ground? It doesn't improve the GAME in any way imo. Good game play isn't more grind.

I see plenty of solo missions offering G5 mats - biotech conductors, MEF, EFC, mostly.

I think it might be a good idea to get allied with a faction.

What are we nerfing? Assassin? Or Boomtime? Or both?
In any case: yes OP. Being Allied with local factions makes all the difference in the world: Potential earnings, rep gain, and variety of missions get's better as you rep-up with local factions.
Tip: Concentrate primarily on Empire and Federation aligned minor factions. Rep gains toward buying a Cutter or Corvette always a plus i.m.o.

Hmmm yes....but for the previous 2 years, Frontier disagreed with that view! I don't recall you ever mentioning this before...but maybe you simply didn't have an opportunity to be expediently antagonistic before.

Most of my CIF came from these missions, since I abhor the hideous base data-point scanning mechanics; in fact, I try to avoid using the SRV at all costs, generally...as the process of surface prospecting is also about as thrilling as say, an evening in the company of a Dutch national residing in Belgium.

I've looked at a few extraction boom state systems, hip 11469 being one of them and they're only giving out planet scan missions, which seem to give me a bounty, even though it's the faction itself stating to check on their equipment because it seems to be malfunctioning, sigh..

EDIT: I'm specifically looking for boom-time delivery missions.

They can spawn in every boom system. You usually need to be allied with the booming factions to get them, though.

Skimmer missions are still around...did one fer 6m yesterady and have another fer 3m right now. Fas as I can see almost all high level wetwork and assassination missions offer g5 mats...actually quite a few missions do, not seeing the issue or did I miss something?

Planetary scans...ah yes these little sinies will almost certainly give ye bounties every single time...used to be just now n then, nowadays its almost every single time even if ye technically shouldnt be getting them because of what faction actually owns the bloody beacon in the first place. If yer like me and stack these up 7 or 8 at a time, then get them all done when yer wanted, then nip to an IF...the missions are easy enough and pay enough that the ten minute detour isnt that much hassle. Just use a cheap ship cos really all ye need is an srv ^
