Games a Fail

The simple fact they need a page to describe it shows how overly designed it really is. Stop making excuses for bad design.

A whole page!? Wow! For the entire legal system. Well I guess tuition fees for law school will be lot cheaper in the future.
:)

I'm still baffled that people (well at least the 10-12 making threads about it each day) have issues understanding a rather straight up feature as C&P is, and FD even provide a link in the launcher that spells it all out, point by point.

Also, why is it that these people have to use "us" in these complain threads...? I'm pretty sure they only speak for the 10-12 people, see above, that have life breaking issues with this.

Sorry mate, think we are talking about separate things, I was thinking about collecting bounties. The faction is listed, but often it isn't the same name as the system, I'll run a google search to track down the station/system. Paying off bounties I just head to an Anarchy, don't care what faction gave out the bounty.

De'Nada :D No problemo. I was actually concerned that the system I wrote and have running on my laptop was no longer needed. (I have a webserver running on my main rig. My Laptop sends queries to the webserver, and the webserver feeds back the bounty data (among a lot of other things). The Laptop client then feeds a list of matching systems for each bounty, and/or totals all bounties for a given faction, clicking on a system listed on laptop, then sends that to the webserver, which then adds it to the global copy/paste, which can then be pasted into ED)

Anyways, sorted now. <o

Just cash them all in at a Factor already.

Yes, that's a viable answer. If you want to lose 25% of your bounty hunting rewards. Not for me though.

So your new update is a big Epic amateur fail.

no indications or hints on how to remove a bounty unless you google search, i mean, google search, just wow, you can't make this stuff up.

the entire update is designed to make you stay in game longer searching for stuff, they have that little faith in their game, that they need to try and force you to stay in, go searching system after system for a way to remove a bounty, just made it harder to remove them. worse if you have a large ship, it's moronic

The fan boys will disagree and get all defenses and insulted.

Game used to be fun and relaxing, now it's just a big pile of garbage that need to be uninstalled.

needing to find "interstellar factors" that aren't even indicated or given any information on, unbelievable, in game help and tutorial on them aren't even finished, and they still released this knowing that. [down][down][down][down]

Did you use Google search... I mean google search to search for the opinion you are passing off as your own or was it YouTube?

I'm I insulted or have a seen all of this before? Maybe I was relaxed once and now I just uninstalled or reinstalled....

It does say a lot about the skills and experience of a developer though..., when you have to actually google search for a tutorial on new additions to the game, simply because, the current developers are either too lazy or not that good at their job.

It's not exactly rocket science, well maybe it needs to be for you first year devs.

Yep - insulting the developers is a great way to make sure they're interested in what you have to say.

You'll recall prior to 3.0 we saw 'wanted' in red on the hud !! Why remove it? Now we have to jump into a system and open the panels to view our status? The first time this happenned to me, I thought, 'oh! I'm wanted here'.. Finished jump, and saw no "wanted' so continued to station where the federales started shooting.

That wasn't changed with 3.0 but I think I know why you may be confused. The pre-jump warning in the middle of the HUD tells you when you are wanted by any of the factions present at your destination. But the wanted label in the lower right part of the HUD warns you when you are wanted in the current jurisdiction. When you arrive in a system right after a jump you arrive in the jurisdiction of the controlling faction, as their authority extends by default to everything that doesn't belong to another faction, and this includes supercruise. If you are wanted by one of the other minor factions but not by the controlling faction, the pre-jump warning will tell you that you are wanted over there, but upon arrival you show as clean... until you leave the controlling faction's jurisdiction and into one of the areas of space belonging to the faction who wants you dead.

In any case the wanted warning is still there.

Well yes, I imagined it was maybe something to do with the factions, but how convoluted is that! In any case, I tested it.. Arrived in the system, visited 2 separate bodies and 2 HazRez, and went to station. Only at the station did I get shot at, and still no 'Wanted' in the HUD.

I *think*.. If you're wanted in a system by anyone, then it should display 'Wanted' on the Hud. (I should also point out, that prior to 3.0, there was also a bug in that jumping in said wanted, but when arriving in, the 'Wanted' was gone. Until you arrived at station, where upon, if you got scanned, you got kilt.. Or in my case out ran the law)

If you have 60 different bounties, you'd be far better off losing the 25%, as you'd earn more than you lose in the time you save. Given you've been risking losing 100% for some time.

This is your first and only warning - the use of Logic and Common Sense in this forum is strictly prohibited and will result in increased salt by those who fail to understand it.

Nope :D Soon as I have 4m + in a system I go to that System and claim it. While I'm there if it has a HazRez, I use it on the way in, so I can claim the local bounties in addition to the ones I'm there to claim, and then build up the others. My own code then tells me where to claim the faction bounties, so I go to the next System and repeat. No risk at all.

No salt here at all. I just felt FDev should have provided the means rather than me having to code it. But in fairness, I added in Auto GPS information, Auto System Notes and Materials in system, and some other fluff.

I think your summary just about sums up the strength of the OP's argument. He's only ever posted 12 to date, anyway, and three posts with dev insults is a high percentage

So he's not happy with the Devs. Is that against some law I don't know about? The fact that people come and post their frustrations speaks more about what the company is delivering that anything else. If you go to a restaurant and the food is crap do you tell anyone ? I'd tell the manager he needs a new chef. If more people complain then the manager has to seriously consider whether to keep the chef and lose business or fire the chef.

Words like "Big Epic amateur fail" are an extremely negative simplification of the problems encountered. The implication that it is an amateur effort is derogatory and doesn't advance the OP's case at all, whether frustrated or not.

How well do you think it works out, for those that curse at the chef making their food?

It also bears noting the manager is often an employee of the chef, who owns the restaurant.

This thread is an amateur fail. BTW, Schmack, you missed a person. Person C (people like me): Game is really good, & is getting better with each new update.
