We're in Q2 right ?

Given the amount of time they have spent amending the mess that is CnP so far I don't expect to see the Q2 update anytime some maybe Q3/4 if we are lucky and theres anyone around who still cares by that point.

Possibly because it is a combat-oriented ship. The Krait, however, appears to have a cockpit that looks downwards ........

Yup. I am hoping the krait is more multi-role then combat. It was a pirate ship originally if I remember the lore properly which would be best suited as a multi-role ship. Hoping it is an upgrade on the keelback.

The Q2 and Q3 updates are meant to be minor. Basically mission updates, QoL updates, new ships and narative updates. They will likely role in the updates to the C&P system that is being talked about into that as well. What may be delayed slightly is the Q4 update, but again, it may not be at all.

Should essentially be a lighter, stripped down Python.

I just logged in to say that I agree with and that, yes, Bernard Cornwell's Saxon Tales are indeed amazing.

Assuming, of course, that it's from there you derive the screen name.

C&P work will go on for the rest of Beyond, that really doesn't change schedule for rest of features.

I must admit the krait isn't at the top of my anticipated list. It's whatever QOL or new gameplay features are added in the new update. Also I'm sure I read that the description of the krait used the word "obsolete" or "retired". Or am I imagining that?

New ships are at the end of my wishlist except they make the ships more unique.
Most shiproles reduce to a variety one or two ships which are best at it (when you have enough money which is not a problem for long for anyone).

They need to do sth about it but not just by blocking slots by naming them "military". (how lame, really)
Dedicated ships for dedicated roles. FD does this mostly with haulers. Good in hauling, bad in fighting (except the big 3 which shouldn´t be hauling at all). Same should go with every ship or at least most of them.

Make the small fighters faster (an LPad Clipper mustn´t be faster).
Give the haulers even more cargo space.
The big 3 ... give them a weakness that makes you think twice before you buy it.
Explorers should have many small slots for scanners and stuff and a Lakon- or a real bubble-cockpit.

Just examples and spontaneous ideas.

But I think it´s too late. Noone would buy such a ship when he can have one of the many multirole-ships out there and outift it for the role he likes.
Yeah make the Clipper an M-Pad ship and give the Python a SLF ... that would even make them all more even. Why not make them all fit on M-Pads and give them all SLFs? And while we are at it: Slots for 500 tons of cargo.

Four point releases plus an expansion pack means that on average they'll be releasing something every ten weeks. We're five weeks and counting into 3.0 so we should expect 3.1 early in May.

As I understand it this is going to be content only, without any major changes to the game mechanics, so there's no particular reason to think that the stream of fixes that followed after 3.0 should cause it any delays.

Woah there an expansion pack?!? Is that something they have announced? I thought it was 4 updates - q1 big, q2 small, q3 small, q4 big?

Here we go again. Let's not rush or push updates. let's let fdev have the full q2 before they release. we pushed and they released v 3 too soon after beta.. Our fault, when when when when .. Where is update

We got rubbish, loads of logic error and problems
Let them have time to do it right. we need to learn by last time

Really. That's exciting. Thanks Killminster. So is that scheduled for q4? I'm surprised I've not seen the speculation threads!

Steady on the speculation, there's been very little said about this and we don't know what it might be. But when you think what is to come, it's likely to be ...... no, if I say anything it will only fuel speculation

Yes fair enough Lightspeed, I just don't know how I missed that bit of info that there will be a premium "something". I am excited about this but have learnt to be cautious in my optimism having supported the game now since 2014.
