I hate Witcher 3

Well, the soundtrack is quite good. And the Blood&Wine add-on is one of the best pieces of DLC I've seen in the last couple years. Superb sountrack, too and a Comtessa in underpants - what more would I need?

It's Duchessa actually. She's cocky, arrogant, very pretty, cares for her country and got a very nice voice actress. She won me over the instant I saw her.

All the W3 DLC was worth every penny I paid for them, the story writing was just excellent, I haven played a game with such a good story for a long time, Baldurs gate is probably my first big wow point in my gaming history.

I think that's the reason why some rpg gamers can't appreciate TW3. Like you say, you're part of a novel. In Skyrim, you sort of create your own novels. :)

I'm sure you're right. If they are expecting Skyrim gameplay and open path progression choices (Skyrim is wonderful for it's own reasons and they are numerous) they are not going to like it. TW3 is such a rich game on so many levels though. I can't remember playing anything else where I actually cared more than a little what happened to the characters.

I think many people expected a traditional RPG, which may have led people to get disappointed.
In my opinion it's one of the absolute best single player action adventure games ever made.

Agree, I only got a very few complains, 1 no FP, 2 not a good combat system, 3 teleporting from place to place.

I loved TW (even the combat), hated TW2, esp the 3rd person consolitis boss stuff, didn't finish it.
TW3 hasn't grabbed my interest so far, I'm not a fan of the combat mech in it.
I try to keep an open mind, but I don't know why everyone keeps raving about it.

In short - world and characters. I agree the combat is clunky. Some would call it "challenging to master", I call it clumsy. But the world of the Witcher, its characters and little stories around every corner is what makes this game special.
Yes, if you can't get over the combat mechanics, you won't enjoy it, but if you do, you will find it interesting.
