!This BUG will get your ship KILLED! Do not drop to Military Installation!

DO NOT INVESTIGATE THIS PLACE UNTIL IT GETS FIXED OR YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIP

Military installation from CG: Privateer's Alliance Campaign (Trade) located at: HIP 33368 2 A RING , Military Installation

You drop INSIDE installation structure from supercruise. Security ships will immediately start shooting at you for trespass zone violation. RIP

I did this with Corvette and DBS and both dropped inside textures and I had to clip through textures and run for my life.

ANOTHER instance of FDev releasing something new that is utterly broken and must be removed from the game for fixes...
They have no quality assurance whatsoever and don't actually care? Or is someone trying to sabotage FDev with a series of broken releases?

Ps. Yes indeed I did bug-report BEFORE posting it here.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION:
Hey Mrrshal, you can choose your distance, I often do it when smuggling or checking out miltary structures, military outposts or those secret Aegis bases.

Make sure you are at zero throttle by the time safe disengage appears (30 km/s) Unlock the station, your distance will slowly tick down, pick your distance and disengage, you will drop at that exact location, be it 30 km or 900km, good for when you want to sneak in silent running outside of the sensor resolve range. Also very good for Open if you know there are gankers waiting at a station.

Well, rather than whine about it here, actually declare it as a bug in the relevant part of the forum...

I do not whine. I Did report it BEFORE posting here.

This WILL kill Commanders and only a minority will read bug reports section of the forum.
This Installation is new addition and so we can expect CMDRs investigate it in masse.

What did YOU do to save CMDR lives?

I guess Op isn't aware that you can manually choose the distance at which you want to drop out of supercruise. Still, bug report the auto safe disengage if it's broken at that installation. Manually drop until it is fixed.

The minority might read it, but the QA staff will read it where as they probably won't see it here.

What do you mean? You can chose the direction of your low wake, for example to drop in front of mailslot. But there is no way to alter the distance from spaceport that I am aware of..?

I think It is still a bug with the default drop location being at the center of the structure. Never had similar issues.

@777Driver Yes indeed, thanks for sharing your wisdom, friend!

I rather warn everyone than wait silently bug-report resolution, while Commanders die in hundreds :(

Good idea! Just to clarify for anyone else reading, make sure the station is not targeted on the final 1000km, that is the only way to manually drop.

Good catch Mrrrsh but jeez seriously

Awesome advice there Triple 7

I mean you're not wrong but I still like the warning as i dont frequent the bug report forum often.

You should!

If you find a problem in the game, you should report it. If everyone did that, we would have far less bugs out there. Especially bugs like the one you describe where not too many players will encounter it.

I always file a bug report whenever I find something screwed up. Given, FDEV could do a far better job taking these reports seriously, but still. If you don't report it, it will likely never be looked into.

I've experienced this issue with ALL of the CQC-style military installation structures since as far back as 2.3. Dropped into the Installation in Colonia yesterday and had the same thing happen. This won't be fixed. Someone once told me that game development is hard, so that's probably why.

I've been to some installations like that, security ships didn't start shooting immediately. Had at least a few seconds to boost away. Maybe inspecting those places closer is meant to be a challenge.
