How many copies of Elite Dangerous do you own?

Just one account for me, on PC. I used to want another slot on my existing account but it's no longer something I think I'd have much use for other than testing. I quite like having a second, parallel Cmdr during betas though.

Just the one. Still not finished on my CMDR yet so don't see a need for another, besides I don't find it a great 'feature' to have to buy another copy just to get another save game slot, especially when all my store purchases cannot be shared between accounts.

Just one.

I would consider another copy, just so I could have one doing normal stuff and the other doing exploration. But I can't transfer my current cmdr to my new game because of some stupid MMO crap about selling games for real money or something like that.

This is my first experience with MMOs, and I can honestly say that I'm really starting to hate most aspects of them...

5 on PC - Im mostly an explorer so having a personal fuel rat vessel on standby is nice (unused to date, but you never know), and then i have another account for when I want to play around with something in the bubble whilst too far out in the black on my main to be able to otherwise. The others were to lock up a name for a fan fic thing I was doing, and to create a commander as part of a joke.

I've gifted a couple of xbox and pc copies, and given a few more copies to streamers for use as prizes and stuff too. I like to think of it as a voluntary subscription :)

Three.

First was on pc, picked it up on the very first $15 sale at the end of.. 15? Then got horizons on sale mid 16.

Got a second account on pc last year, and turned the first into long range exploration.

Family got a ps4 finally a few months ago, and elite and uncharted were the only games i could think of. The ps4 version is interesting.. its disappointing to not use any pro features (hdr or 4k) but there's something nice about the ps4 controller once you get used to it. Not sure if it was patches or some sort of shader caching, the framerate was initally terrible but has now stabilized to be okay.

The only problem is cosmetics not sharing.. simply not buying more than the internal ones on ps4.. turns out that's all you really need, and you get 10 pounds worth for free with your frontier points.

5, 4 Alpha accounts and 1 release day account. my 3 boys play along with me (My daughter is my XO, but will move on to her own account soon enough still a little young yet), and a spare account for friends to potter around in to try out the game.

Yes, my first copy was direct from FDev (kickstarter backer) and the option was there to use a Steam key, but I understand that Steam gets a cut of everything previously bought (which would include lifetime pass, paint jobs, etc) which seemed a bit unfair.

Totally hear you - makes a lot of sense!

PC, Xbox One and PS4 - all with the same Commander Name. Seemed the best way to support FD since my extended family play over all formats! :)

Another Triple Platform Eliter!

Yes, it's that good. Otherwise, we'd all just have one copy.

True!

Wow - another CMDR with 5 copies - hats off!

When I got my Slim I picked up Elite and Uncharted too!

Awesome - when my kids were tweens we had a lot of Halo, Jedi Knight, and Star Craft lan parties. It was so much fun and now as adults they still talk about those times :)

My grand kids aren't yet tweens so we've mostly played Minecraft, but I did gift a copy of Elite to my grandson :)
