Greetings Commanders! Upon returning from a month long exploration trip, I had an unexpected experience after I docked at Jamison. Unexpected, because I thought I would be returning to a game that wasn't fun anymore (yes I know exploration is part of the game, but I think you know what I mean). I jump in my Cutter and head out to my favorite passenger taxi route. On the way, I notice the starport on my hud. I see it change orientation in relation to my position, and for some reason I can't get over how cool that is (uh, I'm 20 years sober, so that's not why
). My mind wanders into wondering how the hell you even program something like that, and that is something so small that I've grown to overlook it. I then break out of hyperdrive, dock, then hear "Welcome to have you aboard Commander", and smile. Maybe I've been out there too long. Maybe I've allowed my gaming experience to be affected by the incessant negative feedback on these boards. Maybe I'm just grateful to be engaged in a game that has captured my interest for YEARS and supported by incredible programmers and community. Anyway, I'm grateful for Elite Dangerous.
