Thargoid came to the center of the bubble but there is no feeling of fear at allの

I am Japanese and I am not good at English, so I use Google Translate. Therefore, there may be places that are wrong or meaning wrong.
Thargoid came to the center of the bubble, but the attacked stations are always one, not being disturbed during the hyperspace jump from Thargoid is to shave off the interest of the player's Thargoid, and between Thargoid and the player I think that it could cut contacts.
I think attacking stations may be attacked by three NPC controlled stations at a time. I think that Thargoid 's attacks on humans are more intimidating, and I think that GALNET can also write content that will make more sense of fear.
I understand that you are busy developing new games, but do not put in place equipment that enhances performance unnecessarily, neglecting bugs.
Rather than such a thing, I'd like to implement something that all players can advance toward one goal by implementing CMDR 's gathering strategy to prevent Thargoid' s fleet from attacking the station.

Yes, that's been mentioned more than a few times on the forums now. It's a real shame.

Where is this "greatest and oldest enemy in the history of the video games"? (Quote isn't 100% accurate). Where is the fear, the terror, the panic? Life just seems to go on as usual.

2.4 was supposed to be NARRATIVE FOCUSED PATCH (this actually a 100% accurate quote). Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case and 3.0 continues to be boring and bland, story-wise.

An alien race invading human space! Nightmares of the past awoke!

But is it? And did they really?

I has a sad face :(

:EDIT:

Also see here, here and here.

This is hard to do in a mmo type game.
If you overdo it, ALLOT of people will complain.

I remember playing World of Warcraft and the pre-patch to 3.0 WotLK hit. People were losing their minds cause the undead invasion was interfering with their regular gameplay. 'OMG I can't access auction house, zombies killed the auctioneers, Blizzard you suck, fix this!! AHH'

They could of had the Thargoids burn the Pleiades area and boot humanity from there (All player ships moved to safe place), or even have an active war in the area with a moving front, left the bubble alone for those players wanting a quiet life. But don't advertise a story based alien invasion and then not have the invasion, or a story, or any consequences - that's just stupid! and make it more immediate than Thursday morning station on fire, tedious CGs and random USS's.

And it was the best thing to happen to the game. They complained but still played.

Spot on. It has been the weakest possible way to introduce them, with zero fear or excitement. Considering how incredibly obvious alternative designs are I can only conclude FD is actively againt the notion of excitement. I'd rather had them take even more time than this absolute borefest. How often can you combine great audiovisual presentation with ultra shallow gameplay design before it becomes clearly intentional?

There are SO MANY systems - both populated and not - in Elite that this shouldn't be the problem.

Wait - there is a story line? :p

Thargoids in the bubble, so what, worst they will do is torch a few stations, there will be community goals to move millions of tonnes of stuff to fix them or the stations can be left burnt and damaged for a while, either way nothing in game will change and life will go on as normal. Thargoidsound and graphics are good but plot and game play is an abysmal fail.

The station assaults are (relatively) insignificant.

Thargoids need to start hyperdicting everyone. Like they were doing back in the 'bad old days'.

Back then if you flew unarmed and a thargoid hyperdicted you, reloading a saved game was the most likely next step.

I remember that. I thought it was a cool event as the punishment for "failing" -not that you could fail was negligible. I think it didn't go far enough, really.

More on topic. Imagine if the economy was interlinked between these stations. The more stations that fall, the more the galactic economy is affected. That MIGHT get people a bit more riled.

After Sol has been demolished by thargoids someone will eventually get around to scribbling a note for Galnet.
Even if Sol is the target (little evidence and lots of supposition for that hypothesis), so what . If such an attack follows the same pattern as previous attacks we end up with one station damaged. I'd hardly call that catastrophic, given the number of stations in Sol it would only count as a minor inconvenience.

And if the forward scouts only appeared in USS’s I would never know as I hardly bother to stop and scan them while running missions.

And there in lies one of the roots of the problem, with the thargoids showing no indication of any inkling of where we go to when we low wake, and that being where we spend most of our time, and until they have been actively targetted and scanned by the CMDR the Non Human Signal Sources that RNGesus spawns as we travel through supercruise are indistinguishable from the wedding barges / cargo spills / debris fields etc that a lot of players simply sidestep them.

"Winter is coming!"

I don't know how they had the gall to use someone else's work like that tbh. What a complete and utter load of nonsense - oh so the Thargoids are meant to be like the white walkers, are they FDev because it seems most people here are finding them a snoozefest. Something that should have been epic, something if done right could have turned the game around but instead, we got

"Elite Dangerous: The Librarian Version!"

And like clockwork, Thargoid Thursday was formed....

Another thing we also know for a fact, that FDev simply don't have the resources to attack tens of thousands of stations so there will always be somewhere to go.

When you have 100,000 inhabited systems nobody cares if 500 get attacked, espcially as Colonia is probably terraforming more worlds than the thargoids can attack stations and also, they're space stations. We know the TG's can't attack planets so 99% of the human race is entirely safe.

It's a bit like trying to argue a bear is dangerous. Don't go near it!!! It'll kill you!!

But it's 200 miles north and I have to walk into a cave to find it, then wake it up BUT....

only if I spend a year mining for some iron ore first then golly gee, you're right, that bear is SO dangerous...

That's an odd way to put it. The station state is an entry in a database; as long as the art assets are prepared then FDev could update all the stations to "attacked" in about 20 minutes if they wanted.

But you're right when you say that won't happen. There will always be working stations, because not everyone wants to get involved in the Thargoid narrative.

However, when some of the muh-loved stations get attacked (in Sol or Lave for example) then I'd imagine here will be considerable consternation. And perhaps we'll wake up to the narrative.
