Guardian power distributor

Just went through five days of hell getting all the parts for the guardian distributor. Turns out my level 5 engineered power distributor is better in shockingly large differences... very disappointing to say the least... wow... just wow...

It was easier having the engineers level 5 the class 6A power distributor that I already had!!! Equipping the Guardian module also jumped my rebuy cost up like 800,000 cr.

The engineered class 6A power distributor was modified to level 5 charge enhanced power distribution with the experimental effect of cluster capacitors. +2.6% to capacity on all systems and a +36.2% recharge rate on all systems...

You would think that guardian tech would be better... right? Since it's such a pain in the butt to grind for... I feel sick, I feel physically ill.

How do these things even make it into an update without even noticing? Your telling me nobody realized that a regular 6A power distributor engineered to a level 5 is better than a 6A Guardian power distributor??? Oops!!! Sorry guys we just throw stuff out there and see what happens... no big deal we're working on it.... soon....

Have you ever thought about that it might be a balancing issue?
Making the Guardian PP superior to a G5 engineered PP would just create a new meta.
But it makes a very good out of the box module for everyone except the min/max-ers.....

It's not a balancing issue. The guardian materials where way more difficult to get. The grind for those things was so boring/repetitive it was almost unbearable. It was like a chore/job that really sucks.

Plus the Guardian tech is supposedly more advanced according to the games own lore... it's not not worth the grind. They botched the Guardian tech, and it'll take months now for them to fix it. Remember it'll be fixed "soon"

lol yeah, it was "such a grind", I know, I did it too, not very exciting. But if you consider getting materials for upgrading 6 or 7 PP's of your fleet? (a first G5 roll, that's what they represent) and knowing you will never have to look for mats for PP upgrades again if you are ok with a little downside?
Doesn't sound like a bad deal for me. Yeah, it's not the magical wonder module the hurdles to get them promised, but if you see it on a longer term,
it can be worth it.

I ran that grind. It was sickening to see the end result. Maybe Fdev think that making folks grind is the only way to keep folk playing and thinking they're actually playing to achieve something. Its garbage mentality.

No more magic Gaurdian stuff for me. Those Goids can get stuffed also. Engineering, dont start.
This game has no time sink anymore. Its a life sink.

Dont get me wrong. I don't hate this game, its a class act. I just dont like certain aspects of it.
