Modes Dear solo players...

Powerplay is such a waste of space anyway:

Option 1: Shoot other players (you have to shoot everything in ED, even the Guardian ruins...which are supposedly precious ancient artefacts. How dumb is that?)

Option 2: Deliver pamphlets...in the 34th century!

Really pathetic imo. Clearly a design team masterpiece worthy of note.

It is as you say when the work happens in PGs. No more.

The availablity of the same choices does not mean the modes are the same. Do you see the difference?

If you want to progress somewhere in PP choosing open is counter productive in the current state of the game.

This exact issue is what being addressed with the new changes. Making open to be the only playground where PP can happen.

Conflicts in solo dont work, it was proven numerous times by looking at the poor state of PP at the moment.

Again HOW is it counterproductive? YOU wanted that game play style, you CHOSE that game play style, and now you whine that others are not forced to play the game play style while doing PP things and claim they have an advantage that they never had for playing the way they do.

And IF it is so counterproductive for PP then it would be the SAME for everything else. Exploration, CGs, BGS, everything... all supposedly as "counterproductive" as PP because of YOUR choice on how you play the game.... and how others play it.

Just asking:
If the Open style gameplay is so much better, why is it necessary to enforce it? Why isn't everyone opting to use it?

Its not so much open is better just the gankers and griefers have nothing to shoot at any more since all they do is gank in the first place, simple as that. Take a look at who really complained the most about making pp open only, and you will find its most if not all the griefers and gankers crying about its not fair and blah blah blah crap. Its real simple most players that don't play in open are not scared to play in open, they just just dont wanna get interdicted every 5 min's and get blown up every 5 min because of some a-$-$ holes with nothing better to do.

CGs and BGS is exactly the same. It is counter productive to do any of those in open.

No it isn't you keep claiming that but it isn't.... I am not sure why you are incapable of understanding this. Elite Dangerous did not make anything counterproductive, your whole "counterproductive" argument is nothing more than a complaint against the very MODE you chose to play in and now want everyone else to play in.

This thread had 99% of positive feedback so not sure what else is there to consider. Its done deal.

Not sure where you got 99%, but you are way out.

Also, the forums only have 96,612 registered users - out of over 3 million copies sold.

So even if you didn't make stuff up to suit your argument, 99% of nothing, is still nothing.
And these forums count for nothing. Otherwise a lot of toher changes would have happened a long time ago, like Open PvE Mode.

Now go back and look at how much of that was actually feedback and how much was make the game fully open only... and 99% I'm going to call crap on that. Yes on the forums the #'s of yeses are higher, but not by that much. And much of the no feedback is well thought out and explains why the person said no.

What do they say? "Don't count your chickens before they hatch"

I know, if only we were that important on the forums.

My push to remove Open and remove PvP would have happened years ago :D

You would get my vote in a heartbeat Jockey.
This game would be epic if not for the interference of Open and PvP.
I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet, but it may after Sandro keeps PP as is.

I'm making room on "The Wall of Information" for his post saying PP cannot go open only due to *reasons*

I'm also adding a fluid resistant coating to my chair, so it wipes clean after I wet myself laughing :D

I plan on using a nappy :)

Plus if that Wall of Sound Reasoning gets any bigger you may well crash the forum!

So suddenly it counts for nothing when its against your views, classic.

If forums count for nothing than whats the point opening threads for focused feedback?

What about reddit? Also doesnt count? Who counts, you Mouse and Robert?

How does it feel being slapped in the face with the fact that outside of this modes section you are a miniscule minority? Should we go post by post in the focused feedback thread and see the number of pros and cons posts? Mind you this is coming from this forum which is heavily PVE tilted.

Reddit has even more convincing result.

Its all one sided against the 5 regulars that shut down any idea in this section with prescriped answers.
