So the 42 dinos DO NOT include the IRex

The creator of today's video stated that Dino 42 is not the IREX.

It's not I-Rex. I can tell you that much

Calling it now. Mosasaurus.

Reasons

A - It has to be something good to warrant the secrecy. Some obscure dino like Sinosaurus won't cut it.
B - I Rex is ruled out.
C - Indoraptor will be FK DLC
D - Carnivore

I think it's the big surprise. They'll be a pre-built Mosasaur tank on Isla Nublar (or an option to place a pre-built one) and we can breed a Mosasaurus for it.

Nothing else fits. If Giga hadn't been confirmed then I'd say yeah, it's probably Giga. But there isn't another big name carnivore that will fit. Acro maybe... but is Acro one worth keeping hidden? Surely, if they were keeping a regular dino secret as a big surprise it would be Giga since she was the most wanted after the big ones (Rex, Raptor, Spino etc).

So calling it. We can breed Mosasaurus.

O doubt it. On one of the pictures you can see a shape of a dinosaur. It looks like Igunadon or something along that line

True but the new list with pictures disproves it.https://reddit.app.link/e1t4wD3HtN

That's not zooming well on my phone. The missing dino seems to slot between Gallimimus and, is that stegosaur the Chinese one beginning with H?

Tricky one. Unless I wouldn't put it past Frontier to mislead people and put the blank gap randomly.

But if not, what major dinosaurs can slot in there?

If Giga wasn't confirmed I'd straight away say, that's Giga's spot cos it fits perfectly.

Even though I'd love that it's gonna be anything but Mosasaurus. But I have no problem being proven wrong on that one. Putting in the Mosa is gonna require so much more than what they've shown so far. If it's gonna come at all it'll be as part of a DLC/Expansion.

The four mysterious dinosaurs are Giganotosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus Mamenchisaurus. The latter has no way of knowing, it is probably a carnivore. I bet my chips on a Tyrannosaurus cousin. If it is not, it is an Iguanodon

I like Iguanodon, and maybe I'm underestimating it's popularity but is it really worth a super secrecy like that?

Not at all. I honestly am lost at what it could be

Mosasaurus is really the only big name missing.

Therizinosaurus maybe? But doesn't fit alphabetically, but then neither does Mosasaur.

If the list order is correct it slots between Gallimimus and Kentrosaurus.

Perfect for Iguanodon, but that's not really surprise worthy.

Gigantoraptor? Gorgosaurus?

Well they have confirmed numerous times that there is no Aquatic Reptiles in the game. I honestly think the best bet is Therizinosaurus since it is a key park in IRex

I also agree. Also given that they are trying to keep it a secret - that definitely suggests it is a well known species.

Since - we already Giganotosaurus is also between those two - and pretty much confirmed in the game.

I am hoping it is - Gorgosaurus

Gigantoraptor while a theropod - isn't really a carnivore - but is generally thought to be either an omnivore or possible herbivorous in nature.

Well - the Indominus rex is in the game. There is another list for hybrids, which is not part of the main species list. The Indominus rex is only species on the hybrid list in the base game - and even it need to be unlocked (created).

I mentioned this in another thread but there is only 1 dig site missing a dinosaur. The 36 others are all confirmed. Lower lufeng dig site still doesnt have a dinosaur and i do not think it is dilophosaurus.

Muttaburrasaurus.

Unless you're talking about the mystery carno, which is most definitely Indominus rex. I think it was BiS's video where he said Chris stated that it's what everyone thinks it is.

Edit: Quote from Chris on reddit. "As the original supplier of the image who knows exactly what's behind that question mark, I can confirm that it's a dino at 100% genome and you really, really know exactly which dinosaur it is."

https://www.reddit.com/r/jurassicwo...clearer_genome_library_vertical_version_with/

So it's surely Indominus.

So Indominus. Plus, BiS also has unlocked Indominus.

Mutty has already been confirmed thoush so that wouldn't work. BIS is convienced it is IREX

I edited my post to reference Chris's statement. Also, I mentioned Mutty because some appeared to be thinking the topic was in reference to the very last dinosaur on the most recent showcase of the list, the iguanodont (which is 100% confirmed to be Mutty).

I mean, BIS himself has been playing the game and unlocked I. Rex, so if he's convinced it's Indominus, it actually is. In the discord for the reddit he was strongly suggesting it was Indominus. He's saying it without saying it, more or less.
