Devs help save the game!

unfortunate it took me just over 12 hrs to complete all islands with 4 stars on each, and I wasn't rushing through as wanted to enjoy the game. Didn't find much challenge on any island apart from lack of space to build, and then just looked at the map to work out what is going where.

Not sure what the Dino management aspect is apart from making sure the pens have the right habitat, the right mix of dinos, the food is kept topped up and diseases kept eliminated which was easy to do.

As others are saying on forums, I want to see as in most other same type sims, guest coming out of shops with items just bought, guest thoughts pop ups. Planet Coaster did it, theme park from 1994 did it and had more management options, Jurassic Evo dsnt do it :(

Re people saying to taxing to have guests AI, look at City Skylines and Tropico which have individual people (guests) living there lives in the game world all with thoughts and directives which change with AI.

I enjoyed the game and will play though again, but it could be so much more.

Guests do plenty, they just don't simulate needs. And the reason for that is probably because they're already simulating complex needs and AI for potentially hundreds of dinosaurs at a time, so doing it for 10,000-some odd guests would be unnecessarily taxing on your system. They absolutely interact with what's going on around them, though, and are a joy to just watch walking around.

Decorations don't bother me much, but I can see why people would want them.

"Can someone please tell me where [is the management]?" A few places:

* Managing your dinosaurs' needs.
* Keeping your clever raptors from breaking out on a whim.
* Ensuring your divisions are all pretty happy, and recovering from the sabotage if they're not.
* Placing buildings and paths for maximum income generation and guest happiness.
* Keeping the park's guest flow from bottlenecking too much.
* Keeping track of your ranger and ACU teams, and triaging which tasks they need to address in what order.
* Keeping your dinosaurs fed.
* Keeping your power grid stable and your storm and shelter coverage high.

TL;DR, the management aspect is logistical more than it is monetary. Also, I'm not so sure the game needs "saving", it's getting great reviews. :p It just needs improving. It's like... A 400 year-old house with termites needs saving. A 200 year-old house with a solid frame and a good foundation just needs improvements.

They're simulating needs to a degree. You need to have things set up properly or they won't stick around. Having dinos constantly escaping puts you at risk for closure and lawsuits. The stuff is there, you can look at different views to quantify visitor happiness, but for some reason because you can't see them go pop a squat or tell you how much they like their dino bites, people are unhappy. Unreal...

No Karrde Sun, that stuff doesn't add anything for me. I've been playing and have been immersed just fine. Would I be upset with more ways to beautify the park? No, I wouldn't. Though I'm not upset and do not miss having to place toilets. Other games have that and it added nothing for me. However, I'm sure with enough whinging they'll be happy to add a Fresh Latrines and Park Benches DLC for you. Frontier doesn't seem like a company that scoffs at easy money. :rolleyes:

because JWEs focus is the dinosaurs, not the guests

I'd love to see more depth given to the guest management, but not if it'll negatively affect my management and interaction with the dinosaurs. Hopefully it'll improve but not intrude

I'm actually fine with the direction they took this game in.

This is not supposed to be a Jurassic Park themed copy of Planet Coaster. It's a different game. This game is about the dinasours; taking care of their needs, more than it is about the guests (in detail). And that's OK, it works. :) If micromanaging guests is your favourite thing, then go play Planet Coaster. There's no point in having 2 almost identical games just with different skins.

I feel like I have more than enough to do in the game just keeping the dinasours comfortable and contained.

Placing down toilets and watching guests use them would only matter for like 1 minute, then you would forget about it and it wouldn't matter anyway. It's not needed.

Also i might be a smaller case, but absolutely loved placing toilets and rest areas.. you could see people go in them and it was awesome.

I mean.. how much awesome is it to look people go into the bathrooms when you have HUGE DINOSAURS all around?????

Spoiler?

I would just like to point out that without toilets, Rexie would not have eaten the lawyer...

You can decide for yourself how important bathrooms are given that piece of information.
