Gamescom 2018

so we will get to know the content of the 28th update tonight?

Perhaps.

The EliteMeet with Frontier is at 8pm tonight where I believe they'll make a short Beyond presentation to the gathered fans. I dare say some tweets and forum posts will come shortly after from some of those present and then I think FD will be posting something about it tomorrow. I wouldn't expect much, it's not a full blown presentation like they did at Lavecon but perhaps just a few sneak peeks and reveals.

Nothing for Q3, do not take too high expectations. FD has really slowed development, despite the way they are trying to communicate recently. We are not even sure that exploration content could be bring into Q4 has they haven't yet started the dedicated focus feedback forum.

To my opinion they are in a full year delay of damage control.

They don't need feedback forum to add exploration content really, or add improvements everybody already agrees will be nice to have.

And what are those improvements to exploration that everybody already agree on that they'll be nice to have?
We don't know squat about what's comming besides some sort of probes.

They recently said that exploration FF will start very soon, my guess would be right after gamescon when they showed some of it.

Probes will allow to scan surfaces of planets for interesting phenomena. That's for me is biggest change. There will be new things to discover. Again, check, really don't need feedback forum for that.

Feedback forum is really required to fine tune gameplay. Not to develop assets or fundamental logic behind it.

Also last year there were at least three very big exploration threads where Sandro took part of. Majority of good ideas have been already expressed multiple times by community.

We actually need things to find with those probes though.
They didn't say anything about those new things to find.
We've been given new toys before "SRV" but not much to do with those new toys.

The fact that there hasn't been a forum feedback regarding exploration can mean two things imho.
Either they know it's so good that we will like all of it or there is just not enough to discuss about.
We'll just have to wait for what they come up with.
All I can say is that Beyond hasn't boosted my confidence so far when it comes to improved core gameplay and long standing bug fixes, which was the whole purpose of the Beyond series.

Right there with you on the Exploration stuff. There's been relatively little regarding Exploration specifically (Graphics improvements affect everyone, not just Explorers) and all we've really heard about so far is the ability to use probes.

This is also why Q4 is going to have a pretty big impact.

There's been feedback regarding exploration since the beginning of the game, time will tell if they've taken any of the better ideas onboard.
Explorers are by nature a patient bunch, probably why we haven't got much love so far.

Aye, and exactly why Explorers are now a bit anxious. :)
