General / Off-Topic I got locked out of my house yesterday.

I had gone to the shop for five minutes.

Get back home, open the door... Oh no, the door is locked.

Put hand in pocket.

"Crap."

I'd left my keys inside!

So begun me walking around town like a vagrant for the afternoon. RIP

Lol unlucky!

I never go past my (self locking) back gate without doing a keys, wallet, phone check.

I've locked myself out of my garden twice. Never again!

Stupid wind blowing the gate shut. Lol

It's funny that you mention it.

Yesterday I entered in the house through the living room window by climbing the wall of the house.

The front door was closed and I thought that the person had left with the keys inadvertently.

In fact the person was in the house but on the second floor and inadvertently locked the door.

:p

You have "a person" living in your house, who's randomly locking you out? :D :D

'Round here we don't lock our doors.

And we leave our keys in the truck with the windows down....while it's running in the lot at the store.

'Round here everybody is honest and respect is given. Country life is the best!

Lucky I live in a apartment and my landlord also lives in the same building.
Only happened to me once but at least I don't have to go far.

I managed to lock myself out so often back in the other appartment that i got quite good at opening the latch from the outside with a laminated card (actually my ID card, i am german)...

One day i came back from a grocery run and noticed at my door that i (again) forgot to pocket my key when i left. So i pulled my ID card, opened the door in a few seconds and was about to get in...

When a voice from behind asked if i do that often and who i am.

I turned around to face 2 police officers in uniform that had just asked my neighbor across the staircase some questions and watched with interest when i opened my door a bit "Unconventional" in mere seconds.

Took a (short) while to convince them that opening a door with the own ID card would be pretty stupid for a burgular. ;)

Locked mesself out on Friday too! We are having our garage demolished, builders locked me out, it was raining so I thought I would stay in the garage til it stopped....except they've taken the roof off!
