"Just remember what you’re seeing and what you're reading is not what’s happening." - George Orwell

Recently paraphrased by someone at a VFW convention:
"But it's all working out. Just remember: What you're seeing and what you're reading is not what's happening."

Dont know whether its been said or not, but 'For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return'

Often attributed to Leonardo Da Vinci but I think there isnt any evidence that he said it, at any rate its still a lovely quote

Puppet Master: And can you offer me proof of your existence? How can you, when neither modern science nor philosophy can explain what life is?

4) Microsoft: "You've got questions. We've got dancing paperclips."

5) MICROSOFT = Most Intelligent Customers Realize Our Software Only Fools Teenagers

6) Windows has detected you do not have a keyboard. Press 'F9" to continue.

7) Use The Best...

Mac for Graphics

Windows for Solitaire

8) Software is like sex: It's better when it's free.

9) Unix, DOS and Windows...the good, the bad and the ugly.

10) ACs are like computers- Both work fine until you open Windows!

Interestingly, Monroe was one of seven people on the planet at the time, that Einstein considered to understand General Relativity in its entirety. He considered her incredibly informed and equal to his rock star status for all the right reasons.

Einstein himself, Bohr, Zangger, Besso, Monroe...

Anyone know the other two?

Is this a joke?

“The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.”

This thread could use a little more Douglas Adams

“What to do if you find yourself stuck in a crack in the ground underneath a giant boulder you can't move, with no hope of rescue. Consider how lucky you are that life has been good to you so far. Alternatively, if life hasn't been good to you so far, which given your current circumstances seems more likely, consider how lucky you are that it won't be troubling you much longer.”
― Douglas Adams

“The History of every major Galactic Civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why, and Where phases. For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question 'How can we eat?' the second by the question 'Why do we eat?' and the third by the question 'Where shall we have lunch?”
― Douglas Adams
