Ofc you find it interesting, By taking that position you canavoid criticising Frontier for dropping the ball with the early announcement on Galnet and the fairly predictable gameplay that will come from this shocking event.

To think I nearly took the day off for this as well!!!
Think you got it bad.
I pre-ordered SW Battlefront 2
Not sure what you mean by this, particularly the use of the word "start". The narrative is, and has been always full of gaping chasms - at no point has there been any (noticable / publicised attempt) nor reason to "patch over" these anomalies since the game continues and people continue to play. FDev have never been held to account for accuracy, consistency or characetr/events due to motivation and experiences, so why would you expect them to start now....Getting shot of Brooke and Wagar most certaily helped their creative writing team, but different writers coming to a project often squeeze existing vchracters into the writer's defined roles, rather than writing around previously defined concepts, so we'll see a lot more of ths completely out-of-character activityEither way it starts to show cracks in the Narrative and emergent gameplay that cant easily be patched over

Even if they'd set it up so the Gnosis got attacked, say, a fortnight ago and then created a modest list of materials required to repair it and created a Galnet article saying how the ships trip to the Cone Sector was in doubt after an attack left the ship under repair and in danger of missing an astronomical window-of-opportunity then it would've created a positive scenario which would, most likely, have resulted in players rallying to the cause.
It's disappointing the way that, whenever something happens in this game, it's always possible to come up with a better thing instead with a couple of minutes of thought. [sad]
Way to go Frontier. You bottled it on the opportunity to create ENGAGING content.
Or is it simply that the flight plan caught you with your pants down and slamming in a further permit lock was all you could do to save face?
Just keep hammering those nails in the coffin...
Frontier, your story writers are doing a terrible job
I can’t even return to surface to get off this heap. Would have been cool to explore the cone sector like promised. But no, FDEV is being FDEV again. And now my ship is stuck in the station. Get outta here with this FDEV. I’m out, see y’all in another game.
Wait, you're not a mod anymore? Did you see this coming or something?
Isn't that what's most likely going to happen anyway? Some people act like the whole jump is cancelled. Pretty sure we'll see a community goal to make the jump happen very soon, which is admittedly very predictable and just recycles the games shallow mechanics... But it's not like we could realistically expect something else from Frontier. I don't really get the disappointment over this.
