Guess what we have been attacked by thargomids and the gnosis outfitting is completely out of stock and I didn't bring weapons so I could increase my jump range!!!

Launched, under attack almost instantly, no way I was getting 10k from the station.

Fired at a Scout, and took it out with a couple of rail hits, fined, crawled back to the station to dock on 4%, just on the pad when another goid creams me.

Teleported to California Sector, +1500LY away for my crimes.

Dont get too excited. I'm sure it's taking everything frontier has just to keep the instances stable. Yummy or not.

Yes it's a complete clusterflub, slammed servers, bugged instancing, bugged AI, crime and punishment design flaws, and the fact the whole situation has pulled a 180 from exploration to combat.

So, par for the course for Fdev.

Oh really, come on. There is a time where defending Fdev´s incompetence has to stop. Now would be a very good moment. You trying to write any sense into this mess doesn´t make anything better.

This was never stated as thargoid territory, heart or otherwise. It was sold as, come explore previously permit locked space, an exploration mission. The most mention of thargoid was that hydras were sighted in the area

Canonn is a exploration and research group not a tip of the spear assault force.

So, there's a big swathe of permit locked sectors going roughly between Pleiades and Cone. We already know from multiple sources that these locks are Thargoid-related. When the Barnacles showed up, Frontier said that they could also be found in their "home nebula" - which no-one ever found. "Cone is where the Thargoids come from" is a pretty obvious conclusion to draw, even if it wasn't all nicely labelled on the map.

And now you try to jump a carrier with thousands of ships on board including an entire AX-armed fleet and its support to what's probably the Thargoid homeworlds. Sure, you say, it's just a peaceful exploration trip - just going to scan some systems, collect some research materials, take a few photos.

Turns out the aliens have studied human history and know what that sort of exploration trip is a euphemism for.

Sent to the detention center for defending the ship, 1178 ly away. 3 hours and 21 mins for a fuel scoop to arrive then get the luxury of flying back in a combat ship where I will need to wait anothe 3 hours and 21 mins for my mods. See how I feel in the morning but this may be the end of the game for me.

It's not emergent gameplay. I understand this has become soething of a common buzzrod that people use to mean combat oriented or excuse certain behaviours etc. but that's not really definitive.The FS anomalises and Thargoids in the GNosis instance were specifically, intentionally spawned. If the Tharogids wereworkign from an AI strategic simualtion that itself decided to pinpoint the Gnosis or hyperict it purely by algorithmic result, then oine could conisder it as being an emergent feature, but this was largely planned, facilitated and constructed by FDev
