So, there's a big swathe of permit locked sectors going roughly between Pleiades and Cone. We already know from multiple sources that these locks are Thargoid-related. When the Barnacles showed up, Frontier said that they could also be found in their "home nebula" - which no-one ever found. "Cone is where the Thargoids come from" is a pretty obvious conclusion to draw, even if it wasn't all nicely labelled on the map.
And now you try to jump a carrier with thousands of ships on board including an entire AX-armed fleet and its support to what's probably the Thargoid homeworlds. Sure, you say, it's just a peaceful exploration trip - just going to scan some systems, collect some research materials, take a few photos.
Turns out the aliens have studied human history and know what that sort of exploration trip is a euphemism for.
Firstly, there are a bunch of permit locked sectors all over the galaxy, that are locked by fdev as reserved space, so it's not lore based as the reason but practical.
Two, there is a mix of AX, MINING, EXPLORATION on the gnosis because the thought was the AX cmdrs would look for and hunt hydras, while explorers and miners did their own thing
So no it isn't just an AX only fleet at all. The description never mentioned thargoid homeworld or that this was some first strike, or that this was any kind of military campaign. At all.
You are lying sir, lying.
Again this was phrased as some kind d of exploration mission.
Unless you think there is a military reason that the gnosis next stop was the formadine rift?
