Any day now I reckon...
The most disappointing thing in all of this is that FFF were FDev initiative.
Than they postpone, repostpone, told us that it is "coming soon", radio silence, "coming soon", radio silence, cancel stuff planned for Q4, radio silence...we are now in september and the exploration / CODEX FFF that was planned more than 2 months ago is now the biggest joke ever.
It's a total let down...and as a player that deeply love this game and exploration I find it very sad to see how it was poorly handled by FDev ...

It's the "Design Decision Forum" issue all over again I'm afraid. Possibly something which is impossible to keep going with the internal development management systems they have in place.

So please FD speed up development we don't need bad development like in Star Citizen which will never be done.
Even if they'd put it online it would be a farce most likely.
This is starting to remind me of the last of the Dev Update threads, that went on like this for months before the whole forum section just disappeared.
Seems to me if someone says they'll do something then it turns out they can't, the least that person could do is say so. Slightly more than the least would be an apology & even better still would be an explanation why the plan changed & what the new plan is.

Playing for near 6 months now and following the forums pretty much each day since 4 months...I really don't get how FDev think it's a good way to manage the community / salt... (or they actually just don't care) ...
I am in no doubt that they care, I think they just don't have time, or in some cases are worried saying something the wrong way will create some viral catastrophe.
I believe the appropriate response is to simply be up front & honest, but then it's not my company's reputation that's at stake

The lack of clear communication certainly is mystifying. I don't get the reason for it either.

Careful, I posted something to this effect yesterday and was surprised to find a little while later that it had been surreptitiously removed. Not even a moderation message in my inbox. Oh well...
I seriously hope FDev DO care about us Explorers. Problem is that they already have our money and threatening not to play the game because of the way things are going does little to change any of that.
I'm just going to ride it out and hope for the best in the future, whenever that may come (at least they HAVE publicly stated their commitment to supporting the game for a while yet). I'll also set my expectations based on past performance, which are kinda low right now.
In the meantime, I'll go back to games like No Man's Sky and Kenshi to fill the void.
Even weirder than the non-appearance of the explorer FFF to me is the ones that are still running. I doubt anything new has been written about Squadrons, Open Only PP, or even Mining for ... months. Strange they don't at least lock & archive them with a 'so long and thanks for all the fish'.
